DGP Conducts Intensive Inspection of Police Lines; Engages in Direct Dialogue with Personnel

Jaipur. Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma was on a tour of the Bikaner Range today. During his visit, he first conducted an intensive inspection of the Police Lines; subsequently, he inaugurated a newly constructed barracks and, through a ‘Sampark Sabha’ (interaction session), listened to the grievances of the personnel, issuing instructions for immediate remedial action. At the commencement of his tour, Director General Sharma inspected the Police Lines premises. He gathered information regarding the various divisions and the services being rendered therein, while also inspecting the records and documents being maintained. He toured the armory and other administrative offices located on the premises. Furthermore, he inspected the Police Lines Mess, inquired about the dietary provisions being served, and issued directives to ensure the availability of nutritious meals for the personnel. During his inspection of the Motor Branch, he sought details regarding the availability of vehicles and the operational requirements of the fleet.
*A Call for Smart and High-Tech Policing*
While inspecting the CCTNS Training Center within the Police Lines, DGP Sharma issued instructions to provide extensive training to police personnel to foster “Smart and High-Tech Policing.” DGP Sharma also inspected the Central Police Welfare Store, the Mounted Police Unit, and the Arms Office. During the inspection, Bikaner Superintendent of Police (SP) Mridul Kachhawa and other officials briefed him on the various administrative and operational arrangements in place. Additional Director General (ADG) of Crime Bipin Pandey, Inspector General (IG) Om Prakash, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kunwar Rashtradeep, and other senior officials were present on this occasion.
*A Gesture of Sensitivity: New Barracks Inaugurated by Constables*

Setting a remarkable precedent of sensitivity during his visit to Bikaner, DGP Rajiv Sharma had two constables—Daulat and Premsingh—cut the ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the newly constructed barracks, built at a cost of ₹36.52 lakhs. While inspecting the new barracks, he commended the quality of construction and remarked that modern residential facilities for the personnel play a pivotal role in enhancing their operational efficiency and overall performance. *Inauguration of Special Health Camp at Police Lines*
During his visit to Bikaner, Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma inaugurated a special health camp organized at the Police Lines. On this occasion, while inspecting the health services available at the camp, he sought detailed information regarding the treatment and diagnostic facilities from the doctors present.
Emphasizing the health of police personnel as a top priority, DGP Sharma issued directives to ensure the issuance of health cards for the maximum number of personnel.
*Police Personnel’s Grievances Heard at Interaction Session*
Following an inspection of the Police Lines, DGP Rajiv Sharma addressed the police personnel of the range during a *Sampark Sabha* (interaction session) held at the premises. He listened empathetically to the grievances of the personnel and issued directives for their prompt resolution. During the session, he clarified that special efforts are being undertaken to bridge the promotion gaps across various cadres, such as the MT (Motor Transport), Mounted Police, and Band units. He stated that the processes for promotions and recruitment would be time-bound to ensure that personnel receive equal opportunities for career advancement in a timely manner. Discussing border-related challenges, the DGP remarked that, given the prevailing situation along the Punjab-Haryana border and the International Border, police personnel within the Bikaner Range need to remain exceptionally active and vigilant. He specifically identified the rising trend of drug abuse among the youth, as well as cybercrime, as grave challenges facing society. He placed special emphasis on organizing cyber-training programs at the Circle level and enhancing the proficiency of investigating officers in utilizing the CCTNS system, with the aim of effectively curbing technology-driven crimes. Emphasizing the importance of resource availability, Rajiv Sharma gave assurances that the department would provide all necessary resources and facilities to police personnel traveling to other states for investigative purposes. He directed officials to ensure that grievances are resolved not merely at the apex level, but are actively addressed at the levels of Additional Superintendents of Police, Circle Officers, and SHOs as well. Concluding his address, the Director General boosted the morale of the personnel by highlighting the illustrious legacy and proud image of the Rajasthan Police. He observed that the general public harbors high expectations of the police force; therefore, we must dedicate ourselves to public service with wholehearted commitment and unwavering resolve. He also issued a call to action to foster societal awareness regarding road safety, women’s safety, and crimes against children. Furthermore, he directed the District Superintendents of Police to submit appropriate proposals for honoring deserving police personnel who have demonstrated exemplary performance. Present on this occasion were ADG (Crime) Bipin Pandey, IG Om Prakash, DIG Kunwar Rashtradeep, along with the Superintendents of Police from all districts within the range and other senior officials.

*Inauguration of Takshashila Library in Karni Nagar: A New Ray of Education in the Police Residential Colony*
DGP Rajiv Sharma formally inaugurated the newly established Takshashila Library within the Karni Nagar Police Residential Colony, having the ceremonial ribbon cut by two children. On this occasion, while touring the library, he took stock of the various newspapers, magazines, and study materials available there, describing the initiative as a commendable step toward the educational development of police families. With the objective of encouraging education and talent, DGP Rajiv Sharma felicitated the meritorious children of police families residing within the same complex. Encouraging the children, he stated that providing a superior educational environment for the children of police families is a priority for the department. During the event, he also planted a sapling within the library premises, conveying a message regarding environmental conservation.
