Sita Devi (name changed), an elderly woman of approximately 80 years, had been receiving an old-age pension for a long time. However, due to age-related frailty and difficulties with thumbprint verification, her pension verification had remained pending for the last three years, causing her to be deprived of the pension benefits.Upon her arrival at the Rural Service Camp, the concerned officials took her issue seriously; they verified the necessary documents and completed the pension verification process. The completion of this verification paved the way for the resumption of her pension.The pension verification provided the elderly woman with financial security, and a sense of satisfaction and happiness was clearly visible on her face. Expressing her gratitude to the state government and the officials present at the camp, she remarked that this initiative had brought her great relief. The state government’s commitment to delivering the benefits of public welfare schemes to the last person in the queue is being realized through such camps.
