Issues Essential Directives Regarding Drinking Water, Electricity, and Medical Facilities
The State View | Sumerpur/Jaipur Sunil Sharma Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Gopalan (Cow Rearing), Dairy, and Devasthan Departments—and the local MLA—Joraram Kumawat held a meeting with officials late Friday night at his private residence during his visit to Sumerpur. During the meeting, he issued directives to prioritize and resolve complaints related to the city’s fundamental civic issues. Minister Joraram Kumawat instructed officials to increase night patrolling and monitor key intersections via CCTV cameras to keep a strict watch on undesirable activities within the city and to take stringent action against criminals. He mandated measures to curb the rising incidents of theft in the city and to expedite the investigation of theft cases. Minister Kumawat also issued instructions to bring bike thefts under control, prevent the sale of the narcotic substance MD, and take effective action against unethical activities occurring at spa centers.

During the meeting, Cabinet Minister Kumawat directed officials to ensure proper sanitation arrangements within the municipal area. He further instructed officials to repair malfunctioning streetlights, install new lights in areas currently lacking them, and repair broken CCTV cameras located at prominent public spots.

Discussions regarding the medical facilities at the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) took place during the meeting. SDH In-charge Mahipal Singh Parmar apprised Minister Kumawat regarding the availability of doctors and nursing staff posted at the hospital. Parmar informed the Minister that a dialysis facility would soon be introduced at the hospital. In response, Minister Kumawat directed officials to ensure that medical facilities are easily accessible to the general public. While reviewing the works of the Public Works Department, Minister Joraram Kumawat directed officials to complete the construction of roads sanctioned under the budget announcements within the stipulated timeframe. He also issued instructions to ensure that roads constructed during the ‘guarantee period’ are repaired to high quality standards and within the agreed-upon duration. Furthermore, he instructed that all road and culvert construction works be completed before the onset of the upcoming monsoon season. Reviewing the activities of the Panchayati Raj Department, Minister Kumawat directed officials to ensure the completion of works sanctioned under various schemes within the prescribed timeframe. Additionally, he called for ensuring proper sanitation arrangements in villages and for expediting the issuance of land deeds (pattas) and the completion of other administrative tasks as soon as possible.
Reviewing works related to drinking water supply, Minister Joraram Kumawat stated that, in view of the approaching summer season, broken hand pumps must be repaired to prevent any drinking water crises from arising in the villages. Meanwhile, he directed that the construction of water tanks sanctioned under the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ be completed, and that all pending water connections be finalized within the stipulated timeframe. To address complaints regarding power cuts during the summer season, Minister Kumawat directed the issuance of a dedicated mobile helpline number for grievance redressal. Additionally, taking into account electricity consumption patterns, he called for the installation of additional transformers in areas experiencing low voltage issues.
