Pali. A meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for Pali was held on Saturday at the District Council Auditorium. The meeting was presided over by MP PP Chaudhary and featured Cabinet Minister Joraram Kumawat—who holds the portfolios for Animal Husbandry, Cow Rearing, Dairy, and the Devasthan Department—as the chief guest. During this marathon meeting, which lasted for approximately six hours, Cabinet Minister Kumawat and MP PP Chaudhary reviewed the district’s various development schemes and issued important directives. Speaking at the meeting, MP PP Chaudhary stated that the primary objective of the ‘DISHA’ committee is to ensure the effective implementation of Central Government schemes at the grassroots level. MP Chaudhary instructed officials to work with sensitivity and to ensure that the benefits of Central Government schemes—such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Awas Yojana, and MGNREGA—reach all eligible beneficiaries.

Cabinet Minister Kumawat emphasized the need for better coordination between the Central and State governments to facilitate the sharing of information regarding schemes and to ensure that development works proceed without interruption. In view of the upcoming summer season, Kumawat directed district-level officials—specifically the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED)—to formulate a comprehensive ‘Summer Contingency Plan’ to ensure a consistent supply of drinking water. He also held discussions regarding schemes under the Public Works Department (PWD), focusing on road quality and issues related to road cutting. The Minister directed the DISCOM (power distribution company) to maintain an uninterrupted power supply throughout the summer months and to conduct a survey of loose-hanging wires and damaged utility poles to carry out necessary repairs. Furthermore, he instructed the Education Department to prepare proposals for the development of sports grounds and to submit a list of school buildings requiring repairs. Additionally, Kumawat reviewed the progress of various development works currently underway in Rajasthan, specifically those initiated in accordance with the announcements made in the three state budgets presented thus far by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. He stated that approximately 90 percent of the announcements made in the last two budgets have been fulfilled. He subsequently issued directives to complete the budget initiatives for the year 2026-27, along with the remaining 10 percent of the budget announcements, within the stipulated timeframe and to a high standard of quality. Furthermore, with the aim of releasing grants to *Gaushalas* (cow shelters) as expeditiously as possible, Kumawat announced that the physical verification process for the cow shelters in the Pali district commenced on April 2. Following this, efforts will be made to convene a meeting of the District Cow Protection Committee shortly thereafter to facilitate the release of grants to the *Gaushalas*. The meeting was attended by District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami, Pali *Pradhan* Representative Pukhraj Patel, Pali MLA Bhimraj Bhati, DISHA member Jogaram Kumawat, Salodariya *Sarpanch* Parvat Singh, BJP District President Sunil Bhandari, Marwar Junction MLA Kesaram Chaudhary, and Sojat City MLA Shobha Chauhan, alongside district and sub-divisional level officials from various government departments.
