Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that our government is working as a servant, considering the poor as Lord Ganesha. It is our moral responsibility to present the government’s report card to the public. Our government has allocated the budget to all 200 assembly constituencies without any discrimination and is reaching out to the public in every assembly constituency with an account of the development works through the development chariot.

Chief Minister Sharma was addressing the Rural Problem Resolution Camp and the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development works in Bikaner district at Lunkaransar on Tuesday. He said that in two years, our government has taken unprecedented steps for good governance, public welfare, and all-round development in the state, which are not only historic but also lay a strong foundation for a prosperous and developed Rajasthan.

*Government reaching the doorsteps of the common people to resolve their problems*

Chief Minister Sharma said that rural and urban problem resolution camps are being organized with a spirit of public service. Earlier, from September 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, rural and urban service camps were organized across the state for a month. In these camps, the administration is being brought to the doorsteps of the common people to resolve their problems. Through urban camps, work related to birth, death, and marriage registration, fire NOC, trade licenses, and sewer connections, as well as housing leases, mutation, and enrollment in social security schemes, are being carried out.  Meanwhile, tasks such as resolving land disputes, property transfers, and opening up access roads are being carried out in rural problem-solving camps. He urged the general public to take full advantage of these camps.

*Steps taken for the upliftment of farmers, youth, women, and the poor*

The Chief Minister said that our government has taken several steps for the upliftment of farmers, youth, women, and the poor. We have increased the honorarium for farmers from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 9,000, and it will be increased to Rs. 12,000 in a phased manner. Similarly, in these two years, our government has increased opportunities in government services for the youth, providing approximately 92,000 appointments, and recruitment for 156,000 posts is underway.  Furthermore, we have worked towards creating more than 1.2 million women millionaires in the state, distributing 1.051 million bicycles and approximately 40,000 scooters, and benefiting 460,000 girls with the first installment of the Lado Encouragement Scheme.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that recently, on December 5th, at the Gang Canal Centenary celebrations, we launched projects worth Rs. 1,717 crore to strengthen the Gang Canal system. These projects will bring new prosperity to the lives of farmers in the canal area. Our government has allocated Rs. 647 crore for the reconstruction of the Firozpur Feeder and a budget of Rs. 3,400 crore for the renovation of the IGNP canals and the construction of lined irrigation channels. Similarly, we have signed an agreement for the Ram Jal Setu Link Project for Eastern Rajasthan and have issued work orders worth Rs. 26,000 crore to implement it.  We have paved the way for the Yamuna water agreement for Shekhawati and have started the process of preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR). We have started providing daytime electricity supply to farmers in 22 districts and have set a target of providing daytime electricity to farmers in all districts by 2027.

*No difference between the government’s words and actions*

The Chief Minister said that in our double-engine government, there is no difference between what we say and what we do. We do what we say. Our government has accomplished more in just 2 years than the previous government did in 5 years. The previous government provided irrigation facilities to 52,000 hectares of land through the canal system in 5 years, while we have provided irrigation facilities to approximately 85,000 hectares in just 2 years. Similarly, the previous government constructed 29,000 farm ponds and 113 lakh meters of fencing in 5 years, while our government has already completed the construction of more than 35,000 farm ponds and 299 lakh meters of fencing in just 2 years. We have provided Rs. 3,433 crore in assistance to cow shelters in two years, while the previous government gave only Rs. 3,117 crore to cow shelters in 5 years.

Chief Minister Sharma said that 1,952 regular and 2,540 contractual appointments have been given to the youth of Bikaner district, and insurance claims worth Rs. 206 crore have been provided to 50,000 insured farmers. Similarly, 24,000 women have been made “Lakhpati Didis” (women earning over one lakh rupees), and 7,788 women have been provided organized livelihoods through Rajivika, and 1.52 lakh new units have been added to the eligible list under the National Food Security Scheme. He said that work is underway to provide sprinkler irrigation facilities to the remaining 44,500 hectares in the Dr. Karni Singh Lift Canal at a cost of Rs. 270 crore. Similarly, a PFR (Project Feasibility Report) has been submitted for construction work in the Punjab portion of the Bikaner Canal at a cost of Rs. 300 crore, and a tender has been issued for the solution to the wastewater problem in Bikaner city at a cost of Rs. 100 crore.  He said that the Barsalpur canal will be renovated at a cost of Rs 250 crore, the Dhodha and Dantaur distributary canals at a cost of Rs 230 crore, and the Charanwala branch system, Gogariyawala and Bikampur minor canals will be renovated and constructed at a cost of Rs 150 crore.

Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state is continuously progressing.  Along with the expansion of medical services in the state, the medical and health infrastructure has also been strengthened. He said that the Chief Minister has given the people of the state the gift of new recruitments for approximately 50,000 posts in the Medical and Health Department. He said that cashless treatment of Rs 25 lakh is being provided under the Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana (MMCSBY), and now the citizens of the state will be able to receive cashless treatment under the MMCSBY in other states as well. Gajendra Singh said that the proposed new hospital in Lunkaransar will be equipped with modern facilities.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara said that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has given many gifts to this region in the last two budgets. Lunkaransar and Napasar have been made municipalities. Lunkaransar has received many gifts, including a sub-district hospital and 7 substations of 33/11 KV. He said that the damaged canals in the Kanwarsain canal will be renovated at a cost of Rs 185 crore.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up by various departments at the problem-solving camp and distributed scooters to differently-abled persons and solar cookstoves to women. He also visited the district development exhibition.  On this occasion, Vishwakarma Skill Development Board Chairman Ramgopal Suthar, MLAs Vishwanath Meghwal, Jethanand Vyas, Tarachand, and Siddhi Kumari, along with various public representatives, officials, and a large number of common people were present.
