District Development Booklet Released, Historic Work Done in the State in These Two Years

Animal Husbandry, Cow Rearing and Devasthan Minister and Barmer District In-Charge Minister Joraram Kumawat released the District Development Booklet, based on the achievements and works of the state government, in the meeting room at the District Collectorate on the occasion of the completion of two years of the current state government’s tenure. He also gave detailed information about the state government’s achievements over the past two years during a press briefing.
Barmer In-Charge Minister Joraram Kumawat extended his best wishes for the successful completion of two years of the state government’s tenure and said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able leadership of the energetic Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the government is doing excellent work in every sector. Every department, including electricity, water, education, healthcare, roads, and animal husbandry, has performed exceptionally well. He said that the Honorable Chief Minister is committed to the empowerment of the person at the last rung of society. In these two years, we have done unprecedented work. In these two years, under the leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister, historical budgets were presented, encompassing all sections of society, and most of the announcements have already been implemented. Effective monitoring of the ongoing budget announcements is being carried out continuously to ensure their implementation. He informed that the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit was organized to increase investment and employment in the state. Usually, such programs are held in the last year of the government’s term, but the visionary Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma organized this program in the very first year of his tenure. In this summit, MoUs worth Rs. 35 lakh crore were signed with investors. We are committed to bringing these MoUs to fruition. To implement these MoUs, we have implemented a single-window system. A separate department has been created to monitor the investment proposals of investors and resolve their problems.
*Subsidy of Rs 867 Crore for Gas Cylinder Refilling*
The minister in charge said that the state government, prioritizing the welfare of the poor with sensitivity, has provided a subsidy of Rs 867 crore directly to the accounts of beneficiaries under the poor welfare scheme for refilling 4.82 crore gas cylinders. Under the Annapurna Rasoi Yojana, 15 crore meals have been provided so far.
*296 Examinations Conducted Without Paper Leaks, Over 90,000 Appointments Made*
He said that to secure the future of the youth, the government is conducting investigations into previous recruitments while simultaneously carrying out new recruitments in a transparent manner. An annual recruitment calendar has been released, and 296 examinations have been conducted on time without any paper leaks. So far, appointments have been made to over 90,000 posts, and the recruitment process for 1.53 lakh posts is underway. The government is committed to empowering the youth.
*Over 76 Lakh Farmers Received Rs 10,000 Crore*
He said that to empower farmers, the state government has increased the annual amount given under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000 by adding Rs 3,000 from the state government’s side. Under this scheme, over 76 lakh farmers have received Rs 10,432 crore directly into their accounts. Furthermore, fulfilling the promise of providing electricity to farmers during the day, farmers in 22 districts of the state are receiving daytime electricity, and the government is working with commitment to provide daytime electricity to the remaining districts as well.
*Emphasis on Women’s Empowerment*
He said that the state government has emphasized women’s empowerment, increasing the amount payable under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana from Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,500. So far, an amount of Rs 531 crore has been provided to 9.92 lakh pregnant mothers. Similarly, the ‘Lado Promotion Scheme’ has been launched, under which financial assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakh is provided in 7 installments, and so far 4.6 lakh girls have benefited from it.
*Historical work done in Barmer district—*
The District In-charge Minister stated that in the last two years, numerous public welfare decisions and policy decisions have been taken by the state government, due to which Barmer district, along with the rest of the state, has progressed towards new heights of development. Despite its unique geographical location, and with the coordinated efforts of the central and state governments, Barmer district will emerge as a major center of the country in the future. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, 3017 houses have been completed at a cost of Rs. 9543 lakh, and the construction of 34341 houses is in progress.
*Doors of progress opened for farmers and livestock breeders of Barmer district—*
In these two years, farmers in the district have received insurance claims worth Rs. 288.87 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, distributed to 797267 crop insurance policyholder farmers. An agricultural sub-market has been declared in Sedwa (Chauhatan). A cumin market has been started in Barmer. The financial assistance payable under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been increased from Rs. 6000 to Rs. 8000 per family annually. The first installment of Rs. 350.95 lakh under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was directly deposited into the bank accounts of more than 35000 farmers. Short-term crop loans of Rs. 657.73 crore were provided to 175864 farmers through Central Cooperative Banks. Short-term crop loans of Rs. 5406 lakh were provided to 37473 new farmers through Central Cooperative Banks. Agricultural input subsidy of Rs. 219.51 lakh was paid to farmers for crop damage. He informed that the veterinary hospital in Girab has been upgraded to a first-class veterinary hospital. The Veterinary Sub-Centre, Rohidi (Shiv) has been upgraded to a Veterinary Hospital. Netrad (Chauhatan) and Harsani (Shiv) Veterinary Hospitals have been upgraded to First Class Veterinary Hospitals.
*Notable work done in the energy sector in Barmer district—*
He informed that the work of establishing a 200 KV grid sub-station in Shiv has been completed, and work is in progress at two other locations in the district. Additionally, one 132 KV grid sub-station has been established, and seven are under construction. Domestic electricity connections have been provided to 5233 families and agricultural connections to 12185 farmers. Furthermore, solar plants with a capacity of 3.65 MW have been installed under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. The number of new beneficiaries added under the department’s Give-Up campaign in the district is 295406.
*11 lakh saplings planted in the district under Hariyalo Rajasthan—*
He informed that more than 11 lakh saplings have been planted in Barmer district under the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign. A ‘Matru Van’ (Mother’s Forest) has also been established in the district with the participation of the general public.
*Road network strengthened in the district—*
He informed that road development work covering 2973.56 km has been carried out in the district at an expenditure of Rs. 77599.28 lakh. Of this, 2035.45 km of new roads have been constructed. 486 villages and hamlets/settlements have been connected by roads.
