Senior BJP leader and former Leader of the Opposition, Rajendra Rathore, while calling the state’s BJP government pro-youth, said that for the first time, on National Youth Day, the government has given a historical gift to the youth by releasing the recruitment calendar for over 100,000 government posts for the year 2026. He said that this is a clear roadmap for 44 recruitment examinations, which will enable the youth to prepare on time. This reflects Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s commitment to a transparent, time-bound, and honest recruitment process. He said that the BJP had promised in its manifesto to provide 400,000 government jobs and 600,000 jobs in the private sector in 5 years. Following this, more than 92,000 government jobs have been provided in the last two years, and the process is underway for 153,000 posts.

Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore said that on the other hand, the previous Congress government in the state had conducted only 207,570 government recruitments in its entire 5-year tenure, out of which 82,000 jobs were for contractual employees, and about 31,000 jobs are still pending in various courts. However, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, 296 examinations have been successfully conducted in the last two years without a single paper leak. Rathore said that the average unemployment rate during the Congress Gehlot government was 26 percent, while it has come down to 7.4 percent by July-September 2025 under the BJP’s Bhajanlal government. He said that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has secured the future of the youth by implementing the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme and the Rajasthan Employment Policy 2026. This will provide employment opportunities to approximately 1.5 million young people by March 2029.
Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore thanked the Bhajanlal government, stating that the BJP’s Bhajanlal government has done a historic job of erasing the stigma of unemployment, paper leaks, and internet shutdowns that plagued Rajasthan during the Congress rule. Rathore said that the per capita income during the Congress rule in 2023-24 was ₹1.66 lakh, which is now estimated to be ₹2.37 lakh due to the government’s honest efforts. He said that it is the clear objective of the Bhajanlal government to take the state’s economy to $350 billion by 2030. For this, employment and self-employment opportunities are being created through government jobs, MSME startups, skill development, and innovation.
Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore took a dig at Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra, saying that Mr. Dotasra has perhaps forgotten the day when teachers openly admitted to taking bribes for transfers in front of the then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Rathore said that this incident raises a serious question in the state’s politics and also puts a question mark on the working style and ethics of the government at that time. He alleged that those who are talking about ethics today are ignoring the reality of their own tenure.
Former BJP state president Ashok Parnami said that due to the work of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, a new ray of hope has emerged. Not only are transparent government jobs being provided, but extensive work is also being done for the upliftment of the education sector. Parnami said that work is being done through various schemes to connect the youth with entrepreneurship. More than 3,000 startups have been registered in the state, and they are also being provided with funding. Coaching institutes have also been made accountable to protect students from mental depression. Former BJP state president Dr. Arun Chaturvedi said that the Congress party is plagued by internal divisions and, instead of playing the role of a constructive opposition, is engaging in baseless rhetoric. He said that due to a sensitive government and an opposition lacking any substantive issues, Rajasthan will create new history in 2028, and the BJP’s lotus will bloom once again. BJP General Secretary Kailash Meghwal, state spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Dhankar, and BJP state media in-charge Pramod Vashishth were also present at the press conference.
