On the auspicious occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, a district-level ceremony was organized on Tuesday at Ambedkar Chowk, situated in front of the District Headquarters Court complex. The ceremony commenced with the garlanding of Baba Saheb’s statue and the offering of floral tributes by the Minister of State for Home, Gopalan (Cow Rearing), Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries—Jawahar Singh Bedham—along with Deeg-Kumher MLA Dr. Shailesh Singh, Deeg District Collector Mayank Manish, and other distinguished guests. On this momentous occasion, Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham administered an oath to the assembled gathering and officials, pledging allegiance to the Constitution of India and the preservation of constitutional values. Continuing the proceedings, District Collector Mayank Manish read out the Preamble to the Indian Constitution, thereby reiterating the resolve to secure social, economic, and political justice. Addressing the gathering, Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham stated that Baba Saheb’s life stands as an unparalleled example of struggle, scholarship, and unwavering determination. He noted that Baba Saheb attained higher education amidst arduous circumstances and, solely on the strength of his merit, carved a distinct identity for himself on the global stage—serving as a guiding light for today’s youth. Recalling the contributions of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, he emphasized that education is the potent instrument that paves the way for the holistic development of the deprived and backward sections of society. Citing the welfare schemes of both the Central and State governments, Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham stated that, under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Government of Rajasthan is committed to bringing the individual standing at the very last rung of society into the mainstream. He remarked that initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, employment opportunities, and all social security measures are the direct result of the very vision of Babasaheb—a vision he bequeathed to the nation through the Constituent Assembly. He called upon everyone to move forward by harmonizing cultural preservation with modern development. At the conclusion of the program, District Probation and Social Welfare Officer Kuldeep Singh extended a vote of thanks to all the guests and visitors. Various administrative officials, representatives of social organizations, youth, and a large number of dignitaries were present during the ceremony.
