E-Public Hearing System Continues for the Second Day
Public Grievances Being Resolved from the Comfort of Their Homes
Common Citizens Benefiting from JDC’s New Initiative

The State View Jaipur, Sunil Sharma The e-public hearing system, launched by the Jaipur Development Authority with the aim of providing convenience to citizens and bringing transparency to administrative processes, continued for the second day on Thursday.

Through this innovation, implemented under the leadership of JDA Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan, common citizens no longer have to visit offices to get their problems resolved; instead, their complaints are being addressed from the comfort of their homes.

JDC Siddharth Mahajan launched this digital initiative on Wednesday. Its main objective is to reduce the difficulties faced by the general public. Previously, citizens had to be present in person to get their grievances addressed, which resulted in both time and money being wasted. The e-public hearing system has not only made the process transparent but has also ensured accountability of the officials.

How the E-Public Hearing System Works
The JDA has implemented this program in a phased manner. The process for the first phase is as follows:
First Phase:
Selection of Cases: First, serious pending cases on the e-Sampark portal and the JDA online portal are identified by the Zone Deputy Commissioners and cell in-charges.

Information and Link:
The applicant is informed of the time and date of the hearing via message through the Zone Deputy Commissioner. One hour before the hearing, the applicant is sent a link to the Webex app. For this, the applicant needs to install the Webex app on their mobile phone.
Hearing Process:
By clicking on the link, the applicant connects via video conferencing. The concerned officer listens to the problem and clarifies the status of the case on the spot.
Resolution:
If the case is found to be valid according to the rules, it is resolved immediately. If it requires more time, a specific timeframe is given. If processing the application according to the rules is not possible, the applicant is informed with a clear explanation of the reasons.

Monitoring
The entire process is recorded and monitored by senior officials.
Second Phase
Complaint Registration Process: Applicants can register their complaints/grievances online through the JDA website jda.rajasthan.gov.in and email samadhan@rajasthan.gov.in.
Resolution
If necessary, these cases will be included in the e-public hearing. Officials will hear the applicants online and resolve the cases.
Hearings held in these zones on Thursday
On the second day of the e-public hearing, on Thursday, the Deputy Commissioners of JDA Zones 7, 8, 9, and 11, along with the Chief Controller (Enforcement) and Director (Engineering-I), heard and resolved the problems of the applicants. On Thursday, officials conducted e-public hearings for 40 cases, and 27 cases were resolved. Resolution was not possible for 1 case, 10 cases are pending, and 2 cases will be included in the next e-public hearing. The general public is appreciating the e-public hearing system adopted by the JDA and expressing satisfaction with the quick and prompt resolution of their cases.
This digital initiative is proving to be a milestone in the better utilization of resources for both citizens and the JDA.
