Chief Minister inaugurates ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated a four-day ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition at the Bhawani Niketan Shiksha Samiti premises on Thursday, as part of the programs being organized to mark the 78th Army Day. He also observed the modern equipment and weapons of the army at the exhibition.
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition will provide a glimpse of state-of-the-art equipment and warfare techniques. The general public will understand how our army remains vigilant day and night to ensure security. He said that the Army Day parade is being held in Jaipur for the first time outside the boundaries of a military cantonment. Through this parade, citizens will get acquainted with the discipline, valor, and sacrifice of the Indian Army, as well as its military might.


Army personnel are vigilant on every front
Mr. Sharma said that the Indian Army is the shield of every citizen, the trust of every family, and the soul of the nation. From the desert to the snow-covered Siachen, our soldiers are vigilant on every front so that the citizens of the country remain safe. He said that through operations like Operation Parakram, Operation Rakshak, and Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has shown that it knows how to give a befitting reply to aggression.

Operation Sindoor – A symbol of the country’s commitment against terrorism


The Chief Minister said that in Operation Sindoor, the world witnessed our country’s commitment against terrorism. Under Mission Sudarshan Chakra, initiated at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our country is now capable of giving a precise and powerful response to any threat. Chief Minister Sharma said that Rajasthan is the land of action and birthplace of heroes.  This land has given birth to valiant warriors like Param Vir Chakra recipient Piru Singh, Param Vir Chakra recipient Major Shaitan Singh, and Lieutenant General Sagat Singh.

India’s Defence Production Reaches a Record Level of Rs 1.51 Lakh Crore


Chief Minister Sharma said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the modernization of India’s armed forces has progressed at an unprecedented pace. He said that under the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ campaigns, indigenization in defence production has been given priority. He said that in the financial year 2024-25, India’s annual defence production has reached a record level of over Rs 1.51 lakh crore.  Meanwhile, India’s defence exports have reached an all-time high of Rs 23,622 crore during this period.

Houses Provided to Dependents of Pulwama Attack Victims


The Chief Minister said that our double-engine government has increased the pension for non-pensioner ex-servicemen and widows of World War II from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month, benefiting 976 ex-servicemen and widows in the state. 43 schools have also been named in honor of the soldiers who attained martyrdom. He said that a total of 750 bighas of land have been allotted to 7 dependents of battle casualty soldiers and 23 gallantry medal recipients.  Houses have also been provided to the widows of 5 Central Reserve Police Force personnel who attained martyrdom in the Pulwama attack.
Increase in Honorarium for Ex-Servicemen
Chief Minister Sharma said that a new web portal has been created for the registration of ex-servicemen and their dependents, and for various facilities provided by the state government. To resolve pension-related discrepancies of ex-servicemen, dependents, and widows, 418 camps were organized at the district level, and 1,228 cases were resolved.  He said that the honorarium of ex-servicemen employed on contract in various departments of the state has been increased by 10 percent each in the years 2024 and 2025.


The exhibition showcased various modern weapons, artillery, and military resources used by the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor.  Various state-of-the-art military resources, including modern rifles, ballistic missile systems, self-propelled guns, tanks, bunkers, drones, and anti-drone systems, were displayed.  Live demonstrations of the Indian Army’s mechanized forces, paragliding activities, skydiving, and dog squad activities were also presented.  The symphony band gave patriotic performances. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored the war widows.
The event was attended by School Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Joraram Kumawat, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara, Chairman of the State Finance Commission Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, Minister of Urban Development and Local Self-Government (Independent Charge) Jhabar Singh Kharra, Minister of State for Home Affairs Jawahar Singh Bedham, Minister of State for Sainik Welfare Vijay Singh, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General H.S. Wandera, Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma, along with senior officers of the Indian Army, soldiers, NCC cadets, and a large number of dignitaries and general public.
