During his visit to Kota, Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma set an example of community development and innovation at the Police Lines. The DGP inaugurated the newly constructed Nav Vidhan Park at the Kota Police Lines. Instead of cutting the ribbon himself, the DGP encouraged the younger generation by having a talented young athlete, Devanshi, perform the inauguration. Kota SP Tejaswini Gautam informed that this place was once a garbage dump, which has now been transformed into a beautiful park and open gym with the cooperation of the Kota Development Authority and the Municipal Corporation. The DGP instructed that information related to the new criminal laws be displayed in the park.
The DGP also honored some talented children from police families and encouraged them, saying that they are the pride of the police family and should focus on building their careers with dedication to maintain this pride. During the interaction session held at the Kota Police Lines, DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma interacted directly with the police personnel and patiently listened to their service-related problems. The DGP, showing sensitivity to the concerns of the police personnel, sought explanations from the accounts officers present regarding complaints related to dearness allowance, arrears, and house rent allowance. During the interaction, he inquired about a request for a hearing aid for a police officer’s child and assured that the necessary funds would be provided from the welfare fund. He also stated that arrangements were being made to provide good counseling services for the children of police personnel.


To boost the morale of the employees, the DGP made a major announcement, stating that the RAC garden would now be available to non-gazetted police officers at a special discount of 75%. He also assured that the promotion process would be expedited and that the repair of police quarters would be carried out through the Housing Corporation. He informed them that a proposal for the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for police personnel had been sent to the state government.

DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma reviewed the law and order situation in a review meeting with senior officers of the Kota Range on Tuesday. ​​ADG Crime Hawasingh Ghumaria and DIG Rajendra Prasad Goyal, along with all the SPs of the range, were present at the meeting.

DGP Sharma said that police officers face new challenges every day, and therefore, they should constantly review their work and rectify shortcomings.

During the meeting, DGP Sharma reviewed the crimes in various districts and circle offices of the Kota Range. He reviewed women’s crimes, SC/ST atrocity cases, reviewed disposed of and pending cases, e-evidence created in IT Act cybercrime cases and Indian Penal Code cases, the arrest of wanted criminals and action taken against them, and the law and order situation in the area, including preventive actions in 2025, and gave important instructions.

The DGP also spoke about conducting surveys related to women’s safety in Kota city and arranging visits to police stations for school and college students.

During the review, the DGP directed that a zero-tolerance policy be adopted against NDPS and cyber criminals. Reviewing projects such as strict action against drug trafficking, curbing cybercrimes, and the “Investigation Friend” project, he said that police-public partnership is the key to a crime-free society.

The DGP expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the range but also gave strict instructions to improve the infrastructure of police stations and police lines. He directed all Superintendents of Police to ensure that separate toilets for female personnel are provided in every police station in the range within the next two months. He instructed that the barbershops, cobbler shops, and canteens in the police lines should be of the same quality as good shops in the market. He also said that the signboards of every police outpost and station should be in accordance with the provisions of the Police Headquarters. During the meeting, ADG Crime Dr. Hawa Singh Ghumaria emphasized the need to focus on improving investigations and core policing areas. He instructed all Superintendents of Police (SPs) to analyze crime statistics and prepare better action plans.

At the end of the meeting, DGP Sharma, ADG Dr. Hawa Singh Ghumaria, and DIG Shantanu Kumar Singh were presented with mementos. The Superintendent of Police of Kota Rural expressed his gratitude.
