Jaipur Development Authority takes major action against illegal colonies and encroachments

JDA’s demolition drive, under the strong direction of Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki,was carried out successfully.
Chief Controller Enforcement Shilpa Chaudhary and other JDA officers and employees were present during the operation.
Surprise inspections were conducted at JNU, Kho Nagorian, Jagatpura, Agra Road, Purani Chungi, and Nayla Road, resulting in the complete demolition of 4 newly constructed illegal colonies and the sealing of illegal buildings.

During the inspection, 4 newly constructed illegal colonies were completely demolished, and illegal buildings were sealed.

Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki of JDA, Jaipur, conducted surprise inspections at JNU, Kho Nagorian, Jagatpura, Agra Road, Purani Chungi, Nayla Road, Jaipur city. During the inspection, Chief Controller Enforcement, Deputy Controllers Enforcement First, Second, Fourth, and Enforcement Officers of Zones 10, 11, 14, and 24 were also present. Upon inspection, in the ecological zone under the jurisdiction of Zone-10, at Nayla, Jaipur district, an attempt was being made to establish a new illegal colony named “Sundarvan” on approximately 12 bighas of private agricultural land by constructing illegal mud and gravel roads, plot boundary walls, and other illegal constructions. Under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki, on December 23, 2025, the enforcement team, with the help of JCB machines and laborers, demolished the constructions at the initial stage, thus foiling the attempt to establish the illegal colony. In Zone-10, within the jurisdiction of the Ecological Zone, an illegal three-story building, including a basement and ground floor, was constructed without permission or approval from the JDA (Jaipur Development Authority) on Plot No. 1 of the Jaipur National University (JNU) Officers’ Enclave Colony, District Jaipur. A notice was issued to the builder under Sections 32 and 33 of the JDA Act, directing them to remove the illegal construction. However, as the builder failed to remove the illegal structure, a notice under Section 34(a) was issued after obtaining approval from the competent authority. Under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki, on December 23, 2025, the entrances to the said illegal construction were sealed by constructing brick walls with the help of the engineering branch, and locks and seals were applied to the shutters, thus completing the sealing process in accordance with the rules. In Zone-10’s jurisdiction, located in the ecological zone on Agra Road, Purani Chungi, Jaipur district, approximately 10 bighas of privately owned agricultural land was leveled without permission or approval from the JDA (Jaipur Development Authority). Mud and gravel roads, plot boundary walls, and other illegal constructions were built under the name “Neelkanth Market Colony,” attempting to establish a new illegal colony. Under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki, the enforcement team, acting on information from Zone-10’s revenue and technical staff, demolished the constructions at the initial stage with the help of a JCB machine and laborers, thus foiling the attempt to establish the illegal colony.

Similarly, near Nayla, in Zone-10’s jurisdiction, Jaipur district, approximately 4 bighas of privately owned agricultural land was leveled without JDA permission or approval. Mud and gravel roads, boundary walls, and other illegal constructions were built under the name “Hanuman Nagar,” attempting to establish a new illegal colony. Under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki, the enforcement team, acting on information from Zone-10’s revenue and technical staff, demolished the constructions at the initial stage with the help of a JCB machine and laborers, thus foiling the attempt to establish the illegal colony.

Furthermore, in Zone-24’s jurisdiction, on Nayla Road, Doyda Chaur, Jaipur district, approximately 15 bighas of agricultural land was leveled without JDA approval or land conversion. Mud, gravel, and cement roads, plot boundary walls, kiosks, stone structures, and other illegal constructions were being built under the name “Shri Ram City,” attempting to establish a new illegal colony. Under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Rahul Kotoki, on December 23, 2025, the enforcement team, acting on information from Zone-24’s revenue and technical staff, demolished the constructions at the initial stage with the help of a JCB machine and laborers, thus foiling the attempt to establish the illegal colony. The operation was carried out.

Sixty old, dilapidated, and unusable kiosks built on government land on Agra Road, Paldi Meena, in the jurisdiction of Zone 10, Jaipur district, were demolished today by the enforcement team with the help of laborers, under the direction of the revenue and technical staff of Zone 10.

These actions were carried out under the supervision of Chief Enforcement Controller Shilpa Chaudhary, by the enforcement team, under the direction of Deputy Enforcement Controllers – First, Second, and Fourth, Enforcement Officers of Zones 10, 11, 24, and 14, and with the assistance of the security personnel, labor guards, and the revenue and technical staff posted in the zone.
