Jaipur. Director General of Police, Rajasthan, Rajiv Kumar Sharma exercised his franchise on Friday as part of the municipal elections. Accompanied by his wife, Bhavna Sharma, he reached the polling station in room number 5 of the Executive Engineer, PHED office, South Campus, Gandhinagar, in Municipal Corporation Ward 82 and cast his vote. He participated in the festival of democracy by exercising his right to vote.After casting his vote, DGP Sharma appealed to the general voters to actively participate in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote. He stated that the Rajasthan Police has ensured extensive security arrangements for a peaceful and fair election. Police are fully prepared at polling stations and sensitive areas.
DGP visits Abhay Command Center to review election arrangements
After the voting, DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma visited the state-level Abhay Command and Control Center at Police Headquarters to review law and order and security arrangements across the state for the second phase of the local body elections. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) VK Singh was also present. Senior officers at the Abhay Command Center monitored election activities and the law and order situation in various local body areas through CCTV cameras. They also gathered information on the ground situation in several local body areas and instructed the concerned officials to remain vigilant and alert regarding security arrangements in sensitive areas. DIG Kunwar Rashtradeep, Vikas Sharma, and other officers were present during the meeting.
ADG (Law and Order) V.K. Singh said that the situation across the state is being continuously monitored from the Abhay Command Centre during the civic elections, so that the voting process can be completed in a peaceful, fair and safe environment.
