Union Minister of Rural Development, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, said that a strong, developed, and self-reliant India is being built under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under his leadership, our government is working to make agriculture profitable. Our intention is that farmers’ crop production should increase and their costs should decrease. He appealed to the general public to contribute significantly to the Prime Minister’s resolve to create a self-reliant India, so that the resolve of a developed India and a developed Rajasthan can be realized.
Minister Chouhan was addressing the state-level farmers’ conference organized in Merta on Tuesday to mark the completion of two years of the state government. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, a new chapter of development has been written in Rajasthan in the last two years. The amount given to farmers in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has been increased to Rs. 9,000. Farmers in Rajasthan have also benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme). Now, if insurance companies delay in settling claims, they will also have to pay interest. He said that the central government has approved the procurement of a record 305,750 metric tons of moong (green gram), 554,750 metric tons of groundnuts, and 265,750 metric tons of soybeans from farmers in Rajasthan.

*Developed India – Welfare of laborers and farmers through the G Ram Ji scheme*
Union Minister Chauhan said that the Developed India G Ram Ji scheme is an excellent scheme that will transform the villages of the country. It will ensure the welfare of laborers and farmers. Under the scheme, laborers will now get 125 days of employment instead of 100 days. The proposed budget for the scheme is now Rs. 151,282 crore, which will make villages developed, poverty-free, and employment-rich. He said that the central government will soon introduce the Seed Act and the Pesticide Act, which will ensure strict action against those who sell fake pesticides and expensive seeds. He said that the survey work under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme) has been completed, and the work of providing houses to the needy poor will begin soon.
*Farmers’ work never stops, even in scorching sun, cold, or rain – Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma*

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that farmers are the true builders of our nation. When the whole country sleeps, the food providers are awake in their fields. Whether it is scorching sun or biting cold, rain or storm, the work of farmers never stops. He said that he himself has been a farmer, so he understands the problems faced in farming very well. Our government is committed to the advancement and empowerment of farmers. He said that Bharat Ratna and former Prime Ministers, the late Chaudhary Charan Singh and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, worked continuously for the respect and empowerment of farmers. Vajpayee accomplished the historic task of connecting villages to roads by constructing millions of kilometers of roads across the country through schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme).
*Working by creating a roadmap for the state’s development*

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that his government is working by creating a roadmap for the development of the state. Understanding the priority of water, we have taken many historic decisions such as the Ramjal Setu Link Project, the Yamuna Water Agreement, and the repair of the Ganga Canal. Furthermore, Rajasthan is among the leading states in the country in Kusum-A and Kusum-C schemes. He said that during the previous government’s tenure, the youth were cheated, and incidents like paper leaks occurred. Not a single paper leak has occurred during our government’s term. So far, 92,000 appointments have been made, 20,000 appointments will be made soon, and 153,000 appointments are in the process. Our government will provide four lakh government jobs to the youth in five years. He said that out of the MOUs worth Rs. 35 lakh crore signed through Rising Rajasthan, ground-breaking ceremonies have been held for MOUs worth Rs. 8 lakh crore. We want the youth to become job creators as well, and we will soon be bringing in a youth policy.

*Farmers in the country and state are progressing under the Prime Minister’s leadership*
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the यशस्वी (successful) Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our farmers are progressing in the country and the state. They have been empowered by the farmer-friendly decisions taken by the Prime Minister. He said that our double-engine government is continuously working for the welfare and upliftment of every section of the state, including the poor, youth, farmers, and women. He said that we have transferred approximately Rs. 2,900 crore through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) under various schemes in Nagaur district, and development works worth more than Rs. 2,000 crore are also being carried out. He said that the district is benefiting from many schemes such as the Lakhpati Didi scheme and the old-age pension scheme. He said that the state government is committed to the conservation of the Aravalli mountain range and will not allow any kind of tampering with it.
Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is continuously taking farmer-friendly decisions. The state government has taken many decisions in the interest of farmers, such as increasing the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi and providing daytime electricity to farmers in 22 districts. He said that strict action will be taken against those who manufacture fake fertilizers, fake seeds, and fake pesticides.
At the event, the Union Minister handed over the sanction letter to the Chief Minister for works worth Rs. 2,089 crore for 1,216 roads and one bridge covering more than 3,200 kilometers in the first batch of the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme) in the current financial year. During this time, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs. 187.60 crore to the accounts of 35,800 farmers under farmer welfare schemes. Along with this, an amount of Rs. 617.58 crore was also sent to the accounts of 5 lakh farmers as agricultural input subsidy. They also transferred Rs. 150 crore to 5 lakh livestock farmers under the Chief Minister Milk Producer Incentive Scheme and Rs. 100 crore to 18,500 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (Prime Minister’s Rural Housing Scheme) through DBT. During this event, various development projects worth ₹351 crore were inaugurated and their foundation stones laid in Nagaur district.
A short film showcasing the work being done under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme) was also screened, and a booklet was released. Earlier, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister visited stalls of various departments of the Agriculture Department, agricultural institutions, and other departments, where they viewed agricultural products and equipment.

Present on the occasion were Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Avinash Gehlot, Minister of State for Revenue Vijay Chaudhary, Chairman of the Farmers Commission C.R. Chaudhary, MP Mahima Kumari, MLA Laxman Ram Kalru, Ajay Singh Kilak, and a large number of farmers.
