Chief Secretary V. Srinivas held a review meeting with officials from various departments on Tuesday. He stated that, with the objective of acquainting the state’s farmers and livestock breeders with new methods and technologies, promoting innovation, ensuring market access for farmers, and boosting investment in the agriculture and animal husbandry sectors, the State Government is set to organize the ‘Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet’ (GRAM) from May 23 to May 25, 2026. The Chief Secretary informed that a dedicated portal—https://gram-rajasthan.in—has been created to facilitate online registration for farmers participating in this event. The meeting, conducted in a hybrid mode, was attended by Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma, ADG (Law & Order) Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Administrative Secretaries of all departments, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Range IGs, District Collectors, and District Superintendents of Police.
He further explained that awareness campaigns regarding registration will be conducted among farmers through social media, print media, and electronic media channels. Additionally, as part of GRAM 2026, the ‘Apno Khet Apno Khad Abhiyan’ (Our Field, Our Fertilizer Campaign) will be organized from April 6 to April 30. The objective of this campaign is to promote bio-fertilizers and organic farming, as well as to raise awareness among farmers regarding the registration process. Concurrently, the ‘Dharti Mata Bachao Abhiyan’ (Save Mother Earth Campaign) is also being organized from April 1 to April 15. The aim of this initiative is to promote the balanced use of fertilizers and to curb their black marketing. He also mentioned that progressive farmers and those involved in agricultural startups will be felicitated at both the block and district levels. *290 Handpumps Repaired in a Single Day; Directives Issued to Fill All Departmental Reservoirs with Water Before April 10—*
The Chief Secretary issued directives to the concerned departments regarding emergency preparedness for drinking water during the summer season. He stated that, in strict compliance with Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma’s instructions to ensure adequate drinking water arrangements, a special statewide campaign was launched on April 5. This campaign aimed to inspect handpumps in the rural areas of the state and to repair and restore those found to be non-functional. Under this initiative, 3,055 handpumps were inspected; of the 604 found to be defective, 290 were repaired and restored on the spot. In the regions served by the Indira Gandhi Canal, tractor-mounted augers will be hired—as and when required—to fill the reservoirs (*diggis*) during the complete canal closure period (April 11 to May 10). During this period, the water availability in departmental reservoirs will be monitored on a daily basis. The Chief Secretary issued specific instructions to ensure that all departmental reservoirs are filled with water before April 10.

He further instructed that the campaign be promoted and publicized on a massive scale to ensure maximum public participation. The campaign is currently being implemented across all Gram Panchayats and urban wards throughout the state. This initiative will facilitate the creation of a comprehensive master plan for every individual village. This campaign is poised to play a pivotal role in realizing the national vision of a ‘Developed Nation’ by the year 2047. Furthermore, Auto-LPG pumps must operate round the clock. The Chief Secretary gathered information from all District Collectors via video conferencing to assess the status of gas supply. Reassuring the general public, he affirmed that there is no shortage of domestic gas and that the supply of domestic LPG is proceeding smoothly.
