Jaipur। On the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti, a four-day series of grand state-level programs will be organized from April 11 to April 14. Through these programs, the message regarding Babasaheb’s life philosophy and awareness concerning the Constitution will be conveyed to the masses.
To review the preliminary preparations for this event, a significant meeting was held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, presided over by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. During the meeting, he issued necessary directives to the high-ranking officials from various departments present, instructing them on how to ensure the program is celebrated successfully and on a comprehensive scale.
During the meeting, Dinesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, provided details regarding the scheduled programs, stating:
On April 11, the festivities will commence with the observance of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s birth anniversary. At every district headquarters across the state, District Collectors will garland and offer floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
On April 12, programs focusing on Dr. Ambedkar’s biography and constitutional awareness will be held. Specifically, an online quiz competition themed ‘Know Your Constitution’ will be launched, which will continue until April 14.
On April 13, films based on the life of Dr. Ambedkar will be screened in hostels and residential schools. Additionally, various government departments will organize cleanliness drives.
On April 14, marking the concluding day of the celebrations, state-level programs will be held at Shri Bhawani Niketan College in Jaipur, as well as at all district headquarters and block levels. The ceremonies will feature the recitation of the Preamble to the Constitution, the administration of the Constitutional Oath, and various other cultural programs.
The primary objective of this event is to familiarize the new generation with the significance of the Indian Constitution and Dr. Ambedkar’s principles of social justice. Various government departments—including the Department of Higher and Technical Education, the Department of School Education, and the Department of Local Self-Government—will actively participate in these programs.
