*Kalika Patrolling Unit Team Conducts Operations at Various Public Places for the Proactive Prevention of Incidents*

Jaipur. Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal stated that, under the direction of Additional Police Commissioner Yogesh Dadhich and the leadership of Kalika Patrolling Unit Supervising Officer (Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police) Ranu Sharma, the Kalika Patrolling Unit team has been actively working to proactively prevent incidents such as harassment, catcalling, and molestation against women and girls. While performing duties at various public locations—including educational institutions, girls’ hostels, PGs, malls, parks, and crowded areas—the team has taken action against anti-social elements and miscreants involved in harassment, obscene acts, or stalking/molesting girls studying in colleges and schools. Furthermore, by taking prompt action on complaints received via the Nirbhaya Helpline, the Kalika Patrolling Unit team members—Prem Lata, Om Prakash, and Sita Ram—arrested a miscreant/anti-social element on March 12, 2026. This individual was apprehended in the Shastri Nagar police station jurisdiction, specifically at the ‘Pani Ki Tanki’ (Water Tank) public area in Shastri Nagar, for stalking and physically assaulting a girl while the team was on duty.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranu Sharma advised that all girls and women visiting crowded places should save the five Nirbhaya Helpline numbers—8764866090, 8764866091, 8764866092, 8764866093, and 8764866094—in their mobile phones under the names ‘Nirbhaya 1’, ‘Nirbhaya 2’, ‘Nirbhaya 3’, ‘Nirbhaya 4’, and ‘Nirbhaya 5’. In the event of any trouble or adverse circumstances, one can send written messages, verbal reports, audio clips, videos, or recordings to these numbers to seek immediate assistance. This helpline operates 24 hours a day.
