Jaipur. As per the wishes of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, uninterrupted supply of domestic LPG cylinders is continuing in Jaipur district. District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has issued strict guidelines to ensure adequate availability and uninterrupted supply of LPG gas cylinders in Jaipur district. For this purpose, Additional District Collector (South) Yugantar Sharma has been appointed as the Nodal Officer, and District Logistics Officer Jaipur I Priyavrat Singh Charan and District Logistics Officer Jaipur II Mrs. Sanghmitra Bardia have been appointed as Assistant Nodal Officers.
To ensure the uninterrupted, systematic, and well-organized supply of domestic gas cylinders, the Jaipur District Administration has established a 24-hour control room at the district level to address public complaints. The control room’s telephone number is 0141-2209016. Complaints can also be lodged at the state level via 181, 112, and the Consumer Affairs Department’s helpline number at 14435.
The District Administration has formed a District Vigilance Unit and a Special Enforcement Team to ensure the uninterrupted supply of LPG and to curb illegal storage, misuse, and black marketing. These teams will monitor activities such as shortages in the supply of domestic and commercial gas cylinders, illegal hoarding, and overpriced sales.
A special enforcement team constituted by the District Logistics Officer, Jaipur I, inspected Shravani Gas Agency, Murlipura, Jaipur, and Mani Enterprises, Ramganj, Jaipur. During the inspection, sufficient quantities of domestic gas cylinders were found available at the gas agencies. Agency operators were instructed to promptly resolve consumer issues and avoid unnecessary crowds or queues at the gas agencies.
A review was conducted with the District Logistics Officer, Jaipur I, and LPG sales officers (BPCL, IOCL, and HPCL) in a special meeting chaired by District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni. Instructions were given to maintain uninterrupted supply of LPG in the district, strictly curb illegal storage, misuse, and black marketing, and to maintain a smooth supply system.
The meeting also directed that domestic gas cylinders be supplied only through OTP-based digital booking and delivery authentication code, and that gas be provided only to valid registered consumers. Widespread publicity should be given regarding the adequate availability of domestic gas in the district so that consumers do not make unnecessary bookings in panic and there is no unnecessary storage of gas.
In addition, instructions were given to inform consumers through bulk SMS about booking approvals only 25 days after the last supply, regional officers of oil companies were instructed to coordinate with the district vigilance unit, and all gas agencies were instructed to clearly display information regarding bookings, available stock, backlog, and supply dates after 25 days. Agencies were also strictly instructed to prevent commercial misuse of domestic gas cylinders.
