MP Hanuman Beniwal raises cylinder shortage issue in Parliament

Delhi. Rashtriya Loktantrik Party supremo and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal, during the Lok Sabha discussion on the second batch of supplementary demands for grants for the year 2025-26, drew the central government’s attention to various important issues facing the country, including Rajasthan. In his statement, MP Beniwal said that the government should prioritize the basic needs of farmers, youth, and rural areas while allocating additional budget. He specifically emphasized the need to provide more resources to strengthen the agriculture sector, irrigation facilities, rural road construction, and education and health services.

MP Hanuman Beniwal raised the issue of the difficulties faced by the public due to the shortage of domestic and commercial cylinders in Rajasthan and the country. He also asked the government what plans it has for the supply of petrol, diesel, and gas in the country if the Iran-US-Israel war continues for a long time.

The MP said that the purpose of supplementary demands is generally to meet necessary expenditures that were not anticipated when the budget was prepared. Therefore, it is important to understand that supplementary demands should not be a routine matter. They are intended only to meet expenses that arise due to unforeseen circumstances. However, when supplementary demands are repeatedly brought every year, it exposes the weaknesses in the government’s financial planning and budget management. He also said that when the Finance Minister presents the budget in this House, it is claimed that it is a roadmap for the country’s economy and development. But if, just a few months later, the government again begins to demand additional thousands of crores of rupees, it naturally raises the question: whether the budget was properly assessed or not. The MP said that when we look at these supplementary demands, it is unclear how much direct benefit these additional expenditures will provide to farmers, laborers, youth, and the poor.

National Democratic Party National President and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal raised an important issue related to civil aviation in the Lok Sabha, seeking answers from the government regarding incidents of GPS interference at various airports across the country. Through his question, MP Beniwal sought information from the government about the impact on flight operations at various airports in the country, including Delhi, due to interference or tampering with Global Positioning System (GPS) signals during the last two years and the current year, the number of affected flights, and the steps taken by the government to prevent these incidents. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol acknowledged in his response that airlines reported 2,354 incidents of GPS interference between November 2023 and December 2025 and 623 incidents between January 2026 and February 2026. The minister also stated that such incidents have occurred around Delhi’s airspace. MP Beniwal said that such a large number of incidents indicate the need to further strengthen technical security in the aviation sector. He demanded from the Central Government that advanced technology, better monitoring systems and strict security measures should be implemented to prevent incidents like GPS spoofing and signal interference. Beniwal said that the safety of millions of air travelers in the country should be the top priority and the government should take quick and concrete steps in this direction. He said that he will continue to strongly raise issues related to public interest, national security and common citizens through Parliament.
