Jaipur. The two-day “Maa Panna Dhay Nari Shakti Mahotsav,” dedicated to women’s empowerment, self-reliance, and social leadership, will be held on March 8th and 9th at Shilpgram, Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK). Presented by Sevaayam, the festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on March 8th. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also unveil a 10-foot-tall statue of Maa Panna Dhay. A special short play depicting Maa Panna Dhay’s sacrifice and patriotism will also be staged during the program. This year, under the aegis of Sevaayam, over 1,000 girls will be vaccinated against cervical cancer free of charge during the Nari Shakti Vandan program. The objective of the event is to bring together various dimensions of women’s power—self-defense, health, education, technology, culture, and entrepreneurship—to promote positive change in society.
*Chief Minister to unveil Panna Dhay’s statue*
Outgoing Mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar stated that the program will be inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on March 8th. A grand statue of Mother Panna Dhay will also be unveiled on this occasion. Prior to the inauguration, a two-day massive self-defense training camp will be held from 9 am to 11 am, in which hundreds of women and girls will participate. Outgoing Mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar stated that the Honorable Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and prominent political and social figures will be present at the event.
*“Shakti Kavach” Campaign: Free cervical vaccination for 1,000 girls*
An important aspect of the event will be the “Shakti Kavach” campaign, under which free cervical (human papillomavirus) vaccination will be provided to girls aged 9 to 14. Approximately 1,000 girls have registered. This initiative is being driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Nari Shakti” and “Healthy India.” This campaign is considered an important step towards preventing cervical cancer and ensuring a secure future for girls. Over the past two years, Sevaayam has provided free vaccinations to thousands of girls, women, sanitation workers, and Pak displaced women.
*Over 500 women will undergo weapons training*
Over 500 women and girls will practice sword fighting in traditional weapons training during the self-defense session. According to the organizers, the aim is to develop self-confidence, courage, and the ability to defend themselves in times of crisis.

Rashtriya Sevika Samiti’s Chief Executive, Venerable Sita Tai, will deliver a lecture on “Shakti Vandan – Saluting India’s Self.”
Outgoing Mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar stated that the event will feature special sessions of dialogue on culture, society, and contemporary issues. Several prominent figures, including Venerable Sita Tai, Chief Executive of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, Vijaya Rahatkar, National Women’s Commission National Chairperson, MLA and singer Maithili Thakur, renowned actress Raveena Tandon, actress Isha Koppikar, and Gulab Kothari, Editor-in-Chief of the Patrika Group of Newspapers, will participate in various sessions. These personalities will share their views on topics such as “Gen-G’s Developed India,” “Artificial Intelligence for Women,” “Women’s Power in Entrepreneurship,” and “Healthy Women – Prosperous Society.” A special session will also be held with His Excellency Governor Haribhau Bagde. His Excellency Governor Haribhau Bagde will also honor 21 women doing exceptional work in women’s empowerment by presenting them with awards.
