Inspection of Morabadi Dispatch Centre for Municipal General Election 2026
Special Correspondent, Ranchi: Preparations for the smooth and systematic conduct of the Municipal (General) Election 2026 are underway in full swing under the supervision of the district administration. As per the directions of District Election Officer (Municipal)-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Development Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya on February 11, 2026 inspected the dispatch centre located at Morabadi and reviewed the arrangements in detail.During the inspection, the Deputy Development Commissioner examined the preparations being made for the dispatch of polling parties. He directed the Deputy Election Officer-cum-District Panchayati Raj Officer to ensure that all arrangements are completed in a timely and error-free manner in accordance with the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission.Polling parties for various polling stations will be dispatched from the Morabadi dispatch centre on February 22, 2026. Special emphasis was laid on the following arrangements:Well-organized counter-wise dispatch system for polling parties. Complete and error-free preparation of election material kits.Verification of polling personnel attendance and deployment as per randomization.\Adequate deployment of security forces and vehicle arrangements according to route charts.Reiteration of necessary training instructions for polling personnel.Availability of medical assistance, drinking water, toilets and other basic facilities.Establishment of a control room and help desk to address any emergency situations promptly.The Deputy Development Commissioner also directed officials to ensure phased and time-bound arrangements on the day of dispatch to avoid overcrowding. He emphasized that each polling party must be clearly informed about their designated vehicle and route.He instructed all concerned officers and staff to work in close coordination to ensure that the election process is conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
