*111 cylinders seized in a special campaign against misuse and illegal refilling of domestic LPG*

As ordered by the Food and Civil Supplies Department, a special campaign is being conducted in Jaipur district to effectively curb activities such as commercial use, illegal refilling, illegal storage, and black marketing of domestic LPG cylinders, and to ensure transparency in the Chief Minister’s Cooking Gas Subsidy Scheme and the LPG supply system.
In compliance with departmental instructions, under the direction of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, District Logistics Officer Jaipur First, Mr. Priyavrat Singh Charan, formed three inspection teams to conduct action in Jaipur city. The formed vigilance teams conducted intensive inspections and raids in various areas at different times. During the operation, a total of 111 domestic and commercial gas cylinders, one pickup vehicle, one refilling motor with rubber pipe and nozzle, one electronic weighing scale, 28 regulators, one mobile phone, and one diary were seized. Further legal action is being taken in the related cases as per the rules.
Vigilance Team “A” conducted a raid near the slums behind Krishna Apartments in Sector 28, Pratap Nagar, where illegal purchase, sale, and storage were confirmed and 67 domestic and commercial gas cylinders, a pickup vehicle, a mobile phone, and a diary were seized. Additionally, during raids on various commercial establishments—hotels, dhabas, restaurants, sweet shops, and factories—in the Jhotwara area, 11 domestic gas cylinders and 4 regulators with rubber pipes were seized from 4 establishments.
Vigilance Team “B” conducted raids in the Amer Kunda, Sanganer, and Malviya Nagar areas, where 19 domestic gas cylinders and 18 regulators with rubber pipes were seized from 8 commercial establishments.
Vigilance Team “C” seized 4 domestic cylinders, an electric motor, a refilling pipe, an electronic fork with nozzle, and other equipment during illegal gas refilling in Mahso Mohalla, Amer. An FIR was lodged at the relevant police station against a person involved in this incident. Additionally, during action against six commercial establishments in the Chandpol area, 10 domestic gas cylinders and six regulators with rubber pipes were seized.
The district administration has clarified that such intensive investigations and enforcement actions will continue throughout the campaign period, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in the misuse and illegal activities of domestic LPG.
