An expected attendance of 3.5 million devotees from February 21st to 28th

Rajasthan Police has prepared an unprecedented security and convenience plan
The State View Jaipur(Sunil Sharma) This year’s Falguni Mela, to be held from February 21st to 28th at the world-renowned Khatu Shyamji Temple in Sikar district, Rajasthan, is set to be a remarkable confluence of faith, discipline, and modern management. With an estimated arrival of approximately 3.5 million devotees, as directed by Director General of Police Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma, the Rajasthan Police, the District Administration, and the Shri Shyam Mandir Committee, Khatushyam Dham, have coordinated and made extensive preparations for security, traffic, darshan arrangements, and crowd management, ensuring that every devotee can reach Baba’s court with a safe, comfortable, and devotional experience. This year’s strategies place special emphasis on technological innovation and pilgrim management.

*Dedicated Walking Corridor from Ringas to Khatu*
Honoring the tradition of pilgrims, a 17-kilometer-long dedicated walking corridor has been developed from Ringas to Khatu. This walking route will be completely vehicle-free, with strict restrictions on unauthorized entry. Drinking water, lighting, toilets, and restroom facilities will be available throughout the route, while constant police surveillance will ensure security. This corridor will not only maintain a systematic flow of crowds but also make the yatra safer and more accessible.

*Security Cover: 22 Sectors, 350 Sub-Sectors, and High-Tech Surveillance*
ADG Law and Order V.K. Singh stated that to ensure the safety of pilgrims at the fair, the Rajasthan Police has divided the entire area into 22 main sectors and 350 sub-sectors, and more than 5,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed. Additional police force, temporary checkpoints, and barricades have been deployed at key points. CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the fair complex, and real-time monitoring will be done from a centralized control room. He informed that for the convenience of devotees, all information related to the fair will be disseminated on Rajasthan Police’s social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and X.

44 LED Screens and QR Codes to Provide Assistance
Sikar SP Praveen Nayak Nunawat stated that 44 digital LED screens have been installed at the temple complex and major entrances, displaying estimated waiting times for darshan, parking availability, security instructions, emergency numbers, aarti timings, and weather alerts. Information about lost persons and belongings will also be broadcast live. A QR code-based guidance system will facilitate easy navigation for devotees.
12 Police Help Booths to Help

As directed by Police Headquarters, police help booths have been set up at 12 locations within the fair complex, equipped with landline and wireless connectivity. Devotees will receive immediate assistance in case of any problem. Information can also be provided in the event of a lost or found relative or belonging. The personnel appointed here will help in disseminating information as per the needs of the devotees.
*Special Movement Plan for Rath Yatra:*

The temple committee will organize a grand Rath Yatra on the auspicious occasion of Ekadashi on February 27th at 10:30 am. It will begin at the temple and return via major roads. Special barricades, magistrate deployments, and additional police forces have been put in place at narrow and sensitive locations. A pre-determined diversion plan will be in place to control the crowd, ensuring a balance between devotion and security.
*Color-coded free parking for over 25,000 vehicles*
Four large free parking spaces have been developed to accommodate the approximately 25,000 vehicles that arrive at the shrine daily, divided into color-coded zones. Under these plans, Bawan Bigha Parking has been color-coded yellow, Sanwalpura Parking green, Lamiya Road Parking blue, and Dataramgarh Parking pink. QR codes are being generated and circulated to facilitate easy parking for pilgrims arriving from outside. Additionally, large balloons with coded colors are being placed above these four parking lots so devotees can identify their directions from a distance.
E-rickshaws will take devotees to Baba’s doorstep for 25 rupees:

2,000 e-rickshaw passes have been issued for travel from the parking lots to the darshan site, which will take devotees to the designated diversion point for just 25 rupees. This will save devotees from having to walk long distances to get darshan, while also controlling unnecessary traffic jams and chaotic traffic. Color-coded passes have been provided for each parking lot to make it easier for devotees to identify the e-rickshaws at the respective parking lots.

Instant police assistance will be available on helpline numbers:
Deputy Superintendent of Police Anand Rao stated that in addition to the police helpline number 112, a mobile number, 9667600788, has also been made available to provide quick police assistance to devotees. Anyone can contact either of these numbers for any police assistance related to the fair. He stated that the 24-hour helpline numbers have been widely publicized.

*Drug De-addiction and Cyber Awareness Campaigns on the Directives of the DGP*
Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma has directed that devotees in all three holding areas of the fair be administered a pledge to abstain from drugs from time to time. He has also directed that awareness campaigns against cybercrime be launched. He has also stated that the facilities of police personnel engaged in law and order be taken care of and that those performing outstanding work be rewarded from time to time.
*Additional Zigzag Route, Footbridge, and Holding Area*

To ease the pressure of devotees, an additional zigzag route has been constructed from Mangilal Dharamshala via Rulania Dhani, providing entry from Lakhdatar Ground. Footbridges have been constructed at key locations. In case of a large influx of pilgrims, they will be safely detained in a 40-bigha new holding area on the Ringas-Khatu Road.
Easy access by road, rail, and air*
Clear and accessible access has been ensured for pilgrims arriving from across the country. The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport, located approximately 80 kilometers away. Ringas Junction is just 17 kilometers by rail, and Sikar Junction is approximately 40 kilometers away. Regular bus services will operate from Jaipur and Sikar. Real-time traffic updates will also be available on Rajasthan Police’s social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Instagram, to help pilgrims better plan their journey.
Separate entry and exit routes:*
Separate entry and exit routes have been established for the convenience of pilgrims at the fair:
● Jaipur/Ringas route: Small vehicles will proceed to the main parking lot via Shahpura Cut (NH-52). Roadways and Route buses will arrive at the bus stand via Hanuman Vatika (Chaumu Bypass). Exit will be via Hanumanpura Tiraha and Mandha Tiraha.
● Sikar/Palsana Route: Vehicles will arrive at the Kisan Gaushala parking lot via Sanwalpura culvert. Exit will be via the Aloda-Govati Road.
● No Vehicle Zone: Khatushyamji town and Ringas Road have been declared completely no-vehicle zones to avoid inconvenience to pedestrians.
*DGP’s Appeal to Devotees*
Declaring the safety of devotees visiting the Khatushyamji fair a top priority, Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma has requested devotees to follow the designated routes and parking zones, maintain discipline, and cooperate with the Rajasthan Police. He stated that the Rajasthan Police will strive to ensure a positive experience and a memorable journey.
