Seven-day Sports Week begins at Government Nursing College, Nagaur

Former MLA Mohanram Choudhary inaugurated the event, hoisted the flag, and boosted the enthusiasm of the athletes

The seven-day Sports Week began on Thursday at the Government Nursing College, Nagaur, amidst enthusiastic enthusiasm. Former MLA Mohanram Choudhary, the chief guest, inaugurated the sports competitions by hoisting the flag. Addressing the nursing trainees present after the flag hoisting, Chief Guest Mohanram Choudhary said that regular exercise and sports activities are essential for a healthy life. He encouraged the athletes to play with a sporting spirit and adhere to discipline. He said that sports give life a new direction and play an important role in honing talent. Chief Guest Dr. Jugal Kishore Saini, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Nagaur, stated that sports not only promote physical development but also improve mental health.  He urged the athletes to participate in sports with healthy competition and a positive mindset. Speaking at the event, Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary, Principal of the Government Medical College, Nagaur, said that discipline is the key to success. Whether it’s studies or sports, young people should strive tirelessly to achieve their goals by remaining disciplined. He wished all participants a successful Sports Week. On this occasion, philanthropist Rajesh Chaudhary announced that certificates, shields, and trophies would be presented to the winners of the sports competitions.  Bhanwarlal Danga, Principal of the ANM Training Center, also addressed the program. College Principal Khemaram Loyal welcomed the guests and informed them that industrialist Suresh Rathi and Bhojraj Saraswat, Vice President of Laghu Udyog Bharati, had provided free sports uniforms to the athletes during the Sports Week. Hemant Ujjwal, District Program Coordinator of the Medical and Health Department, elaborated on the new provisions made in the state government’s budget for 2026-27, highlighting the various provisions for the medical and health sector. At the end of the program, College Vice Principal Vinod Vyas expressed his gratitude to the guests. Mahipal Doodi, Principal of the Government Nursing College, reported that a Kabaddi competition was held on the first day of the Sports Week. The inaugural match was won by the GCon Royals team, while the second match was won by the GCon Tigers. The final match was played between Batch 3 and Batch 4, in which the GCon Challenge team emerged victorious.
