In preparation for the first phase of Census 2027, a three-day training program for regular assistants to district, tehsil, and city charge officers began at the College of Agriculture on Thursday. Deputy District Census Officer Ramkumar Rao and regular assistants to Census Charge Officers were present. Training was provided by skilled trainers from the Directorate, Daulatram Gandhi and Satish Basandani. The training detailed the history of the census and preparations for the upcoming census. Census 2027 will be a completely digital census, with enumerators going door-to-door, asking questions related to the house count through a mobile app and recording answers. The entire census process will be conducted and monitored through the CMMS portal. Additionally, the Self-Enumeration Portal will be operational in the upcoming census, allowing citizens to enter their house details online. After the common man enters the information on the portal, he will receive a code number on the portal which he will have to show to the enumerator who comes for the census. As soon as the enumerator enters that code number on the portal, all the information entered about that family will be displayed to the enumerator which will be verified by the enumerator.
