Health Secretary Visits Palamu, Reviews Schemes and Issues Key Directions
Ranchi: The State Health Secretary visited Palamu district to review the status of healthcare services and assess the progress of ongoing health schemes. During the visit, a detailed review meeting was held in the presence of Palamu Deputy Commissioner Sameera S., DDC Javed Hussain, the NDC, and Civil Surgeon of Palamu Dr. Anil Srivastava, along with several administrative and health department officials.
The Health Secretary evaluated the implementation of various health schemes operating in the district. He sought detailed information from officials regarding maternal and child healthcare services, immunization drives, nutrition programs, and the availability of medical facilities in rural areas. Emphasizing effective implementation, he directed officials to ensure that the benefits of government health schemes reach the last person in need.
As part of the tour, the Health Secretary also inspected Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MRMCH). During the inspection, he reviewed the availability of medical facilities, equipment, presence of doctors and healthcare staff, cleanliness arrangements, and the overall quality of services being provided to patients. He instructed the hospital management to undertake necessary improvements to enhance patient care and convenience.
The Health Secretary further directed officials to strengthen the availability of medicines, diagnostic facilities, and emergency services in government hospitals. He stressed that transparency and quality in the implementation of health department schemes must remain the top priority.
The visit generated considerable activity within the district administration, with officials terming it an important step towards strengthening and improving the healthcare system in Palamu.
