Instructions to Complete Works in a Timely Manner

On Friday, Muhammad Junaid, Director and ex-officio Joint Secretary of Watershed Development and Soil Conservation, reviewed the progress of the Chief Minister’s Water Self-Reliance Campaign – 2.0 with all the Chief Executive Officers of the District Councils through a video conference held at the Panchayati Raj Auditorium in the State Secretariat. He instructed them to ensure the timely completion of the works.
During the review, the Director instructed the Chief Executive Officers to complete the works under the first phase of the campaign as per the set targets before March 2026. He also directed them to issue 100% approvals by January 31, 2026, under the second phase, to start the approved works, and to complete all approved works by June 2026. He further instructed them to begin the pre-survey in the selected villages under the third phase.
He also directed all district-level officers and state-level officers of the line departments to regularly inspect the works being carried out under the campaign and ensure the execution of quality work.
Officers from the Watershed Development and Soil Conservation department and line departments at the state and district levels also participated in the meeting.
