The BJP government, which rained lathis on youth and women in Delhi, has no right to remain in power: Khachariyawas

Jaipur। Protesting against the NEET paper leak scandal and the police lathi-charge on students, youth, and women fighting for their future at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, a massive protest was held today at Jaipur’s Collectorate Circle against the BJP government. Led by former minister and Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, hundreds of Congress workers participated in the demonstration. The area reverberated with slogans such as “We will not tolerate paper leaks,” “Stop atrocities against the youth,” “Dharmendra Pradhan must resign,” “Punish the guilty,” and “Stop playing with students’ futures.”
Speaking on the occasion, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas stated that the Modi government has launched a campaign to crush democracy in the country. First, the dreams of lakhs of youths were jeopardized by the NEET paper leak, and now, when students have taken to the streets seeking justice, they are being subjected to lathi-charges. This is not democracy; it is dictatorship.
He remarked that the brutal police action against students, youth, and women peacefully protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar has shaken the entire nation. Instead of engaging in dialogue, the government seeks to suppress voices through the use of force. The very youth whose votes brought them to power are now having their heads broken, while women and female students are being manhandled. This is utterly shameful and condemnable.
Khachariyawas added that preventing even Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi from staging a peaceful protest proves that the BJP government fears the Constitution and democratic rights. This government has ceased to be a government of the people and has instead become a government driven by arrogance. He demanded that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan immediately resign from his post, that the perpetrators of the NEET paper leak be given the strictest possible punishment, and that stern action be taken against the officials responsible for the lathi-charge on students, youth, and women in Delhi.
Khachariyawas stated that the Congress would not back down in this fight for the youth. Whether faced with lathi-charges, tear gas, or repression, the Congress would stand firmly with the students and youth on every front. The BJP government would have to pay the price for playing with the future of the youth and strangling democracy.
Following the effigy burning and protest demonstration, hundreds of Congress workers rallied with Khachariyawas to the state Congress office; from there, they set out to lay siege to the BJP state office under the leadership of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. He declared that this struggle would continue until the students received justice and the guilty were punished.
