Deeg. A review meeting regarding preparations for the upcoming 2026 Mudia Purnima Fair was held on Tuesday at the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) guest house in Poonchri, presided over by Deeg District Collector Mayank Manish. Immediately following the meeting, he conducted a thorough on-ground inspection of the Saptkosi Parikrama route falling within the Rajasthan border alongside concerned officials to assess arrangements and issued directives to ensure essential public amenities were provided in a time-bound manner. Detailed discussions were held on various aspects—including security, sanitation, drinking water supply, electricity management, and the beautification of the fair area—and responsibilities were assigned to different departments.

During the review meeting, he prioritized cleanliness on the Govardhan Parvat Parikrama route, instructing officials to ensure regular cleaning of the entire path and toilets, as well as to identify locations for painting work and take immediate action on them. He directed that pump sets be activated in waterlogged areas and that precise locations for tree plantation be identified to finalize the work within a set timeframe. Additionally, instructions were issued to renovate passenger waiting areas, install signage, and finalize gateway designs promptly to facilitate the pilgrims. A clear division of work was established between the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Bharatpur Development Authority (BDA) to ensure smooth operations. While reviewing electricity management, he ordered the immediate commencement of electrical works and directed officials to determine the necessary sheet materials, designs, and paint specifications for transformer fencing.  Directives were issued to the Irrigation Department to ensure the thorough cleaning of Apsara Kund and Naval Kund and to install sturdy barricading around them, while the Public Health Engineering Department was tasked with installing tube wells and creating the necessary infrastructure for pilgrims to bathe. To showcase cultural richness during the fair, the Tourism Department was instructed to prepare a plan for organizing cultural events along the *Parikrama* (circumambulation) route.

Following the meeting, he conducted a physical inspection of the entire *Parikrama* route with a team of officials, issuing instructions to ensure smooth water drainage, complete drainage works without delay, maintain cleanliness, and grandly decorate the entry gates. Addressing the media, he stated that a detailed review regarding the annual *Mudiya Purnima* fair—held along the *Parikrama* route of Govardhan Hill—had been conducted with all key departments, including the Municipal Council, Panchayat Samiti, Zila Parishad, PWD, and RHA. He mentioned that all concerned departments have been directed to mandatorily complete their assigned responsibilities within the next three to four days. He emphasized the Honorable Chief Minister’s clear intent that no pilgrim or devotee visiting the fair should face any inconvenience and that all basic amenities should be easily accessible to them. In line with this objective, the entire administrative team is working diligently; to ensure continuous monitoring, intensive inspections will be carried out by district-level and subordinate teams every two to three days, and any shortcomings will be rectified immediately. Officials from the Revenue, Water Supply, Electricity, and Public Works Departments, as well as technical staff, were present during the proceedings, alongside Additional District Collector Rajkumar Kaswan, Bharatpur Zila Parishad CEO Mridul Singh, Additional CEO Mohan Singh, Deeg Sub-Divisional Officer Amit Kumar, and Municipal Council Commissioner Kuldeep Singh.
