Jaipur: In accordance with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision of zero tolerance against corruption, encroachment, and irregularities—and his commitment to good governance—the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is continuously conducting campaigns to remove illegal structures and dismantle unauthorized colonies encroaching upon road margins. Continuing this drive, and acting under the directives of Jaipur Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan, the JDA’s Enforcement Squad completely demolished an illegal colony established on three bighas of land.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Anand Sharma stated that information was received regarding an attempt to establish a new, illegal colony on approximately three bighas of private agricultural land (*Khatedari* land) located on Bhated Road in the village of Ramsinghpura (Vatika), within the jurisdiction of Zone-14, Jaipur District. This attempt involved leveling the land and constructing earthen and gravel roads—along with other illegal structures—without obtaining the necessary approval or sanction from the JDA, and without undergoing the mandatory land-use conversion process. Acting upon this intelligence, and guided by the revenue and technical staff of Zone-14, the Enforcement Squad—assisted by JCB machines and laborers—carried out a demolition operation today. By dismantling the structures at their nascent stage, the attempt to establish this new illegal colony was successfully foiled.

The aforementioned operation was executed by the Enforcement Squad under the guidance of the Deputy Controller (Enforcement-II), the Enforcement Officer for Zone-14, and the revenue and technical staff posted in the zone, with the assistance of the security personnel and labor guards available to the Authority. On March 31, 2026, within the jurisdiction of Zone-10—specifically at Plot/Shop Nos. 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on Jagatpura Road, Ashok Vihar—the JDA’s Enforcement Wing identified an unauthorized and illegal construction comprising four shops across a Ground + 3-story structure, erected for commercial purposes without the requisite permission or sanction from the JDA. Consequently, a notice was issued to the builder under Sections 32 and 33 of the JDA Act, mandating the removal of the illegal structure. However, as the builder failed to remove the unauthorized construction, approval was obtained from the competent authority to issue a notice under Section 34(A). Subsequently, on this day—March 31, 2026—a rigorous sealing operation was executed in accordance with regulations; with the assistance of the Engineering Wing, the entry points of the aforementioned illegal structure were permanently sealed by constructing brick walls and affixing locks and official seals.

Separately, within the jurisdiction of Zone-04—specifically at Plot Nos. A-14 and A-15 on Tonk Road (near Khandaka Hospital) in Kailashpuri—information was received regarding encroachments upon the 80-foot road right-of-way. These encroachments involved the construction of two shops, a boundary wall, and a tin shed. Acting upon this information, and under the supervision of the Enforcement Officer (Zone-04), an enforcement squad—assisted by a JCB machine and laborers—proceeded to remove the encroachments today, acting on the specific demarcation provided by the revenue and technical staff of Zone-04. As a result, the 80-foot road boundary has been successfully cleared of all encroachments. On April 1, 2026, upon receiving information regarding an attempt to establish a new illegal colony—specifically involving the leveling of land, construction of earthen and gravel roads, boundary walls, and other unauthorized structures—on approximately 4 *bighas* of private agricultural land situated on Sikar Road (Village Bhojlawas, Morija, District Jaipur) within the jurisdiction of Zone-16, and undertaken without the requisite approval or land-use conversion from the JDA, the Enforcement Squad, acting on the specific inputs of the Revenue and Technical staff of Zone-16 and utilizing the assistance of JCB machines and laborers, demolished these structures at their nascent stage today, thereby thwarting the attempt to establish the new illegal colony.Furthermore, within the jurisdiction of Zone-08—specifically along the road right-of-way stretching from the Sanganer ‘Tuti Pulia’ (Broken Bridge) to Muhana Mandi—encroachments involving temporary structures erected at approximately 50 locations (including iron angles, tin sheds, bamboo tents, tarpaulins, makeshift stalls, pushcarts, hoardings, signboards, etc.) were removed today by the Enforcement Squad, acting on the specific inputs of the Revenue and Technical staff of Zone-08 and with the assistance of laborers, thereby rendering the road right-of-way free from encroachment.

The aforementioned operations were executed by the Enforcement Squad under the supervision of the Chief Controller (Enforcement), Ms. Shilpa Chaudhary, and under the specific guidance of the concerned Deputy Controllers (Enforcement), Enforcement Officers, the security contingent available with the Authority, labor guards, and the Revenue and Technical staff posted within the respective zones.
