A War Erupts Between BJP State President Madan Rathore and Hanuman Beniwal

Jaipur: Hanuman Beniwal—National President of the National Democratic Party (RLP) and Member of Parliament for Nagaur—strongly condemned the statement made by BJP State President Madan Rathore before the media regarding a call for Beniwal’s “social boycott.” The MP asserted that this country is governed by the Constitution and the rule of law; as such, even traditional *Khap Panchayats* are nowadays prohibited from imposing a social boycott on anyone. Therefore, he argued, for the State President of the ruling party to advocate for a social boycott constitutes a blatant transgression of legal boundaries. Beniwal stated that the public had voted for the BJP out of frustration over the paper leaks, the unchecked impunity of various mafias, and the rising crime rates that plagued the state during Ashok Gehlot’s tenure; however, the BJP underwent a complete transformation the moment it assumed power. He pointed out that when the BJP was in the opposition, the discovery of a single cow’s skeleton would trigger a statewide outcry against the ruling regime; yet, the party remains conspicuously silent regarding the deaths of 500 cows in Jaisalmer. Addressing the BJP State President through the media, he posed a pointed question: prior to the elections, Prime Minister Modi had vowed to unearth and punish the “paper-leak mafia”—even if it meant digging them out from the very depths of the earth—yet, two and a half years into its term, the government has failed to apprehend a single “big fish” (kingpin).

MP Hanuman Beniwal noted that while the RLP had three elected legislators in the previous election, the party currently holds no seats in the assembly. Nevertheless, by establishing the party, he has successfully conveyed a clear message: a “third force” has emerged in Rajasthan, and the RLP is committed to fighting for the rights of the people on every single front. MP Hanuman Beniwal further stated that, in response to the BJP State President’s remarks regarding a social boycott directed at him, he is currently in consultation with legal counsel from both the High Court and the Supreme Court; he warned that Madan Rathore would soon be held accountable and compelled to answer for his actions. Addressing the media, Beniwal recounted that following the *Mahapanchayat* held at Bhairana Dham—and the subsequent march toward Jaipur—the government had attempted to engineer a controversy by exploiting the fact that the following day coincided with the festival of Eid; however, he asserted, “We did not allow the government’s malicious designs to succeed.”  He stated that the BJP, having secured votes in the name of cows and religious saints, has subsequently abandoned them. He further asserted that crime and unemployment in Rajasthan have reached alarming levels, yet the Chief Minister remains completely indifferent to the situation. When journalists questioned the MP regarding his recent statements concerning the Chief Minister and the Cabinet, he drew a historical parallel: “History recounts the tale of Kalidasa, who was cutting down the very tree branch upon which he sat; today, Bhajanlal finds himself in that exact same role—actively undermining the very foundation upon which he rests.” The MP affirmed that they would always stand in solidarity with the saints during the Bhairana Dham agitation. He accused the Chief Minister of colluding with those very Congress leaders who speak out against him within the Legislative Assembly. He recounted that RLP workers had approached Madan Rathore in Kuchaman to demand answers regarding issues concerning roads, water, and electricity, but Rathore had no response to offer. The MP condemned the police action taken against the RLP workers, declaring that the party’s cadres would not be intimidated by the coercive power of the ruling establishment.
