Prioritizing the comfort and convenience of the pilgrims above all else, Additional District Collector and Additional District Magistrate Rajkumar Kaswan conducted an intensive, late-night inspection of various halts along the pilgrimage route on Saturday to assess the ground reality.
With the objective of ensuring administrative accountability and rigorous monitoring of arrangements, the Additional District Collector visited several key locations along the pilgrimage route—including Kauthra Gate, Sanwai, Bahaj, and Poonchri—late at night. During this nocturnal inspection, he meticulously observed the shelter facilities established for the pilgrims’ ease, the provision of air coolers to offer relief from the scorching heat, the continuous availability of clean drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, and the food distribution arrangements.
During the inspection, Mr. Kaswan engaged in direct dialogue with pilgrims resting along the route, inquiring about their well-being. He sought feedback from the travelers regarding the administrative arrangements and took steps to ensure that they did not face any form of inconvenience during their journey. He issued strict directives to the concerned officials and staff present on the spot, emphasizing that no administrative negligence or laxity regarding the comfort and safety of the pilgrims would be tolerated. Furthermore, he instructed officials to ensure that public amenities at all designated halts remain fully functional at all times, and that any technical or other issues that may arise are resolved with immediate effect, thereby ensuring that the pilgrimage concludes in an atmosphere of complete peace and deep reverence.
