Shri Kalyan Government Hospital, Sanwali to be developed at a cost of ₹191 crore: Gajendra Singh Khinvsar

Jaipur. Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh said in the Assembly on Tuesday that Shri Kalyan Government Hospital, Sanwali, affiliated with Shri Kalyan Government Medical College, Sikar, in Sikar district, will be developed with modern facilities at a cost of approximately ₹191 crore.
The Minister also stated that ₹103 crore has been allocated for the administrative wing, ₹16 crore for the construction of the critical care block, ₹7 crore for equipment in the critical care block, ₹6.5 crore for the cathlab, and ₹18 crore for other hospital equipment. He stated that the hospital will be equipped with the latest ultrasound machines, surgical sets, ventilators, X-ray machines, and multiple para-monitors per bed. C-arm machines will be installed in the critical care block, and modern equipment will be installed in the cathlab. He stated that upon completion of the hospital, adequate staff would be appointed as needed.
The Minister of Health and Family Welfare was responding to supplementary questions posed by Member Gordhan during Question Hour. He stated that, keeping in mind the growing population in the district and the need for improved healthcare services, the district hospital’s 300-bed capacity would be increased to 530.
Earlier, in a written reply to the MLA’s original question, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare stated that construction work is underway in the new building of the Shri Kalyan Government Hospital, Sanwali, affiliated to the Kalyan Government Medical College, Sikar, following the approval of the critical care block. It is expected to be completed by May 2026. The hospital will be shifted to the new building after the civil works on the hospital complex are completed.
Khinvsar also informed that under the third, fourth, and fifth renewals of the centrally sponsored scheme for expanding medical facilities at the Medical College, Sikar, administrative and financial approval has been issued for the purchase of equipment, furniture, and other materials for the departments of General Surgery, General Medicine, OBGY, TB & Chest, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, Anesthesia, and Skin & VD at a cost of approximately ₹18 crore, and the procurement process is underway.
Minister Khinvsar also informed that the establishment of a Cathlab at Shri Kalyan Government Hospital, Sikar, was announced in the 2022-23 budget. Administrative and financial approval has been issued, and the procurement process is currently underway. He added that construction of a dedicated critical care block for the treatment of patients suffering from serious illnesses is also underway, where patients will be provided with the services of specialist doctors.
