Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his government works with sensitivity, not power. He said that the double-engine government is combining both heritage and development to make Rajasthan a land of opportunities. In these two years, Rajasthan has embarked on a new path of development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various development projects at the Kayad Rest House in Ajmer on Saturday, addressed a large gathering in the presence of Governor Haribhau Bagde and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. He said, “We are continuously working on the mantra of ‘Developed India from Developed Rajasthan’. The double-engine government in Rajasthan is rapidly fulfilling the development promises it made when it came to power.”

*Youth power is being empowered under the double-engine government*

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today’s foundation stone-laying and inauguration of projects worth approximately ₹17,000 crore will accelerate development in the areas of roads, electricity, water, health, and education, and create employment opportunities for the youth. He said that until two years ago, there were frequent reports of corruption and paper leaks in recruitments in Rajasthan. Now, paper leaks have been curbed in Rajasthan, and strict action is being taken against the culprits.  Today, under the double-engine government, youth power is becoming more empowered. He also congratulated the 21,863 young people who received appointment letters.

*Sensitively addressed the problems of women power*

The Prime Minister said that the launch of the HPV vaccination campaign is an important step towards empowering women in the country. He said that if a mother is healthy, the family is able to face any crisis. In this spirit, the Central Government has launched several schemes to empower women. Before 2014, due to lack of proper toilet facilities, sisters and daughters had to endure pain and humiliation. Due to lack of separate toilet facilities, girls used to drop out of school. Previously, these problems were not even discussed. He said that we have addressed these problems sensitively and on a mission mode. We launched the Matri Vandana Yojana, which deposits ₹5,000 into women’s accounts to ensure mothers get nutritious food during pregnancy. We also launched the Ujjwala Gas Scheme to free women from smoke.

*Investment opportunities in Rajasthan are growing due to increased connectivity*

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today is a crucial time for Rajasthan’s development. Good road, rail, and air connectivity not only makes travel easier but also transforms the fortunes of the entire region. Therefore, our government is placing great emphasis on modern connectivity in Rajasthan. Increased connectivity boosts tourism. As tourists come, hotels, restaurants, taxis, guides, etc., find work, and goods made by Rajasthani artisans are sold. He said that increased connectivity is also increasing investment opportunities in Rajasthan.

*Committed to ensuring farmers benefit from irrigation projects*

The Prime Minister said that the double-engine government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of irrigation projects reach farmers, but the previous Rajasthan government kept irrigation projects pending for decades. The ERCP project was entangled in files and announcements, but our government, upon coming to power, has made efforts to bring this scheme out of the files and implement it on the ground. He said that whether it is the revised Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project or the Yamuna-Rajasthan Link Project, Rajasthan will also benefit greatly from the river linking campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Rajasthan is now becoming a land that earns prosperity through the power of the sun.  Rajasthan has no shortage of sunshine, and now, with schemes like the Prime Minister’s Free Solar Power Scheme, this sunlight is becoming a means of savings and income for the common people. Under the Prime Minister’s Free Solar Power Scheme, the government is providing assistance of ₹78,000 directly into people’s bank accounts for installing solar panels on their rooftops. More than 1.25 lakh families in the state have joined this scheme, and thanks to this scheme, many households now have almost zero electricity bills.

At the beginning of the program, the Prime Minister paid homage to Tirtharaj Pushkar, Savitri Mata, Veer Teja Ji Maharaj, Lord Devnarayan, and Varun Avatar Lord Jhulelal. He said that Ajmer is a land of faith and bravery, with both pilgrimage sites and the footprints of revolutionaries. Recalling the bravery of Major Dalpat Singh, he said that the heroes of Rajasthan played a key role in liberating the Israeli city of Haifa.

Concrete steps taken towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s pledge of 400,000 youth recruitments*

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that our government is implementing a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. The paper leak mafia that occurred during the previous government is now under arrest. The state government has taken concrete steps towards fulfilling its pledge of 400,000 youth recruitments. More than 1,125,000 jobs have been provided so far. More than 1,33,000 appointments are underway. A recruitment calendar for more than 100,000 new positions has been released for the year 2026. All these decisions have restored the youth’s confidence in our government.

*Agriculture budget 5.55 percent of GSDP, over 1.6 million Lakhpati Didi*

The Chief Minister said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, historic progress has been made towards the respect and empowerment of farmers. Three thousand rupees have been added to the 6,000 rupees provided under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, making it 9,000 rupees. A provision of 1,19,408 crore rupees has been made in the state’s agriculture budget for the year 2026-27, which represents 5.55 percent of the state’s GSDP. Additionally, daytime electricity is being provided to farmers in 22 districts. He said that, in the direction of women’s empowerment, over 1.6 million women have been included in the Lakhpati Didi category. More than 2.25 lakh women have received free sonography through the Maa Voucher.

*Provision of ₹4,000 crore for VB-G Ram Ji*

The Chief Minister stated that the state government has added over 200,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and over 7.2 million names to the NFSA. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also stated that VB-G Ram Ji has been welcomed by all sarpanches and panchayat representatives in the state. The state government has also made a provision of ₹4,000 crore for this in the 2026-27 budget. He added that to fulfill the Prime Minister’s goal of a developed India 2047, our government has also released the vision document, Developed Rajasthan 2047. In this year’s budget, our government has pledged to grow the state’s economy to $4.3 trillion by 2047.

Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for resolving long-pending water disputes, the Chief Minister said that the project to bring Yamuna water from the Hathini Kund Barrage will provide a permanent solution to the water problem in the Shekhawati region. Meanwhile, the Ram Jal Setu link projects will provide drinking water and irrigation facilities to 17 districts. He added that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, our government has provided over 1.4 million water connections in the last two years. Additionally, under the Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi campaign, over 400,000 groundwater structures have been constructed.

*Rajasthan Ranks First in 11 Schemes*

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the state government has also performed well in central government-sponsored schemes. Rajasthan ranks first in 11 schemes, second in five, and third in seven. He added that the state ranks first in the country in Kusum Component A and C. Under the PM Suryaghar Yojana, the government has installed 131,000 rooftop solar plants. He stated that crime in the state has decreased by an average of 14 percent, and crimes against women have also decreased by 10 percent. He added that more than a dozen policies have been implemented in the last two years. Furthermore, out of the 35 lakh crore rupees worth of MoUs signed under Rising Rajasthan, groundbreaking has already been done for 8 lakh crore rupees.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Bhagirath Choudhary, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, MP Madan Rathod, along with state government ministers, public representatives and a large number of common people were present.
