The Board has a zero-tolerance policy towards encroachment; illegal encroachments removed from Rajasthan Housing Board’s commercial land worth ₹70 crore
The State View Jaipur, (Sunil Sharma) The Rajasthan Housing Board took strict action against illegal encroachments on approximately 7000 square meters of land acquired and designated for commercial use in Indira Gandhi Nagar, Sector-1, Jaipur.
The encroachment, in the form of foundation construction illegally carried out on the said land over a period of about two months, was demolished and removed on Friday with the help of a JCB machine by the Block-I office of the Rajasthan Housing Board.
This action was taken with the objective of freeing the Board’s valuable commercial land, worth approximately ₹70 crore, from encroachment, ensuring the security of public property, and preventing disruption to planned urban development.
In this regard, Mr. Gopal Singh, Secretary of the Rajasthan Housing Board, said that:
Any kind of illegal construction or encroachment on the land acquired by the Rajasthan Housing Board is unacceptable. Protecting the Board’s valuable public property is our primary responsibility. In the future, if any illegal encroachment is found anywhere, strict and prompt action will be taken as per the rules.
The Rajasthan Housing Board has clarified that the planned use of the land will be ensured in accordance with urban development plans, and the campaign against those who encroach on public property will continue.
