The pavilion of the Rajasthan Government’s Department of Mines, Geology, and RSMML at the ongoing StoneMart at JECC Sitapura is becoming a center of attraction for people associated with mining, as well as for domestic and international participants. This is because all types of mines and related reference materials and samples from Rajasthan are effectively presented and displayed here. Principal Secretary Mines and Geology T. Ravikant took detailed information about each mineral, including the 40 types of dimensional stones, major and minor minerals displayed in the pavilion. After observing StoneMart, Mr. Ravikant praised its presentation and reference materials, saying that events like StoneMart prove useful in showcasing Rajasthan’s mining wealth to the country and the world.

Principal Secretary T. Ravikant instructed that participants visiting the pavilion be given detailed information about the availability, potential reserves, quality, and demand of the state’s mineral resources in India and abroad. Rajasthan is among the leading places in the world where abundant reserves of everything from building stone to today’s most important rare earth elements are available. Even gold, silver, lead, zinc, copper, crude oil, and natural gas are being explored and mined in Rajasthan. He said that StoneMart is a great opportunity to introduce the mineral wealth of Rajasthan to participants from India and around the world.

The enthusiasm of the participants towards Rajasthan’s mineral wealth can be easily seen at the pavilion of the state’s Mines and Geology Department at StoneMart held at JECC. Domestic and international visitors have been trying to understand the intricacies of the state’s dimensional stone, and they are left amazed by the abundance and wide range of mineral resources. The sight of abundant mineral wealth in the desert, and especially the samples displayed at Stone Mart, has generated tremendous enthusiasm among the people. The departmental pavilion at Stone Mart is showcasing samples of all 57 minerals mined in the state. Along with this, slabs of dimensional stone are also being displayed, and information about their availability is being provided. The state has reserves of metallic, non-metallic, and fertilizer chemical minerals. Participants from other states and abroad who have come to Stone Mart are astonished to see such a variety of minerals in a single state.

Under the leadership of Additional Director Geological S.N. Dodia, a team comprising Superintending Geologists Sanjay Saxena, Sushil Hudda, Devendra Singh, Amit Meena, and Naveen Bakolia is addressing the queries of domestic and international buyers and visitors, while display boards are providing easy access to information. RSMM Senior Manager Mr. Asim Agarwal is providing information on rock phosphate, chemical minerals, limestone, lignite, etc. This is why detailed information about each mineral is being sought at the Mines-RSMM pavilion.
