Applicants Now Have the Opportunity to be Heard in Building Plan (BP) and Layout Plan (LP) Committee Meetings

In line with the state government’s intention of good governance, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has initiated a new measure to make the process of resolving issues related to the general public and stakeholders more transparent and convenient.
Under the chairmanship of Jaipur Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan, a meeting of the Building Plan Committee (BP) was held on Wednesday, and a meeting of the Layout Plan Committee was held on Thursday at the JDA’s Manthan Auditorium.
The JDA has implemented a new system by improving the working methodology of the committee meetings. Under this system, developers, builders, architects, and applicants concerned with the cases presented for approval in the Building Plan Committee (BP) and Layout Plan Committee meetings are now being given the opportunity to be present during the meetings.
The objective of this system is to establish direct communication between JDA officials and the concerned applicants, so that technical or practical points related to the cases can be resolved during the meeting itself. This will make the decision-making process more transparent and time-bound.
Jaipur Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan stated that the JDA is now also hearing the applicants’ side while making decisions on the cases. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring transparency in the JDA’s functioning and effectively implementing the state government’s good governance policy. This will lead to the speedy resolution of cases and strengthen public trust.
On Wednesday, 8 cases were presented in the Building Plan Committee (BP) meeting, out of which 4 cases were approved as per rules. On Thursday, 18 cases were presented in the Layout Plan Committee meeting, out of which 8 cases were approved as per rules.
The meeting was attended by the JDA Secretary, Director (Planning), Additional Commissioner (LPC/PRN), concerned Zone Deputy Commissioners, Additional Chief Town Planner, and other senior officials.
