“Ensuring the polio drops reach every child is our collective responsibility”: Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Minister of Medical and Health

Nagaur: Minister of Medical and Health Gajendra Singh Khinvsar stated, “A polio-free India is a major achievement for us, but maintaining this status is our collective responsibility.” Appealing to parents to ensure every child aged 0 to 5 years receives the two drops of the anti-polio vaccine, he emphasized that the campaign would achieve 100% success only through public cooperation.

On Sunday, the Minister launched the campaign at the Old Panchayat Building in Khinvsar, Nagaur district, by administering the anti-polio drops to children. MLA Revant Ram Danga, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Jugal Kishore Saini, District Reproductive and Child Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Verma, and PMO of the District Hospital Khinvsar Dr. Ramjit Tak, along with other health department officials and workers, were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the district-level launch of the campaign took place at the Government Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Tausar, where District Collector Devendra Kumar administered the anti-polio dose to children aged 0 to 5 years. He stated that ensuring the polio vaccine reaches every eligible child is a top priority for the administration and the health department, and urged parents to cooperate in making the campaign a success by ensuring their children receive the drops.

CMHO Dr. Jugal Kishore Saini informed that a target has been set to administer the anti-polio dose to 238,941 children in the 0–5 age group across the district. To achieve this, 1,629 polio booths, 69 transit teams, 158 mobile teams, 7,883 vaccinators, and 256 supervisors have been deployed. District Reproductive and Child Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Verma stated that approximately 3.50 lakh vaccine doses, 17,500 vials, and 111 vehicles have been made available for the campaign. Following the booth day, health department teams will conduct door-to-door visits to administer the anti-polio vaccine to any children who may have been missed. …so that no child in the district is deprived of this life-saving dose.
