Deeg: Bharatpur Divisional Commissioner and Deeg In-charge Secretary, Nalini Kathotia, conducted a surprise inspection on Thursday of the rural service camp operating in Astavan village, Kumher subdivision. Additionally, she visited the Kumher Municipality to thoroughly review the arrangements for the urban service camp organized there and issued necessary directives to the officials.

During the inspection of the rural service camp in Astavan, the Divisional Commissioner visited the stalls of various departments to conduct a detailed review of the arrangements and the progress of schemes. She instructed all officers and staff to ensure their presence at the camp at the scheduled time. She emphasized that every grievance brought to the camp must be resolved with sensitivity and quality, ensuring that villagers do not have to make unnecessary repeated visits. During the inspection, she also distributed land lease deeds (*pattas*) to eligible beneficiaries. She directed officials from the electricity, drinking water, and medical departments to ensure that the public faces no inconvenience regarding basic amenities in rural areas. To enhance the effectiveness of the camps, she instructed that application forms and files be prepared through ‘pre-camps’ prior to the main event, enabling the immediate on-the-spot resolution of applicants’ issues on the day of the main camp

Subsequently, the Divisional Commissioner inspected the Kumher Municipality and reviewed the progress of the urban service camp being conducted there. At the urban camp, the municipal administration provided direct benefits of various public welfare schemes to the citizens. Mrs. Kathotia distributed nine residential lease deeds to eligible families, thereby handing over ownership rights to them. Additionally, the next installment of funds was released to eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, based on the progress of housing construction. With the aim of providing financial support to street vendors and small shopkeepers in urban areas, loans were sanctioned and benefits were extended to them on the spot under the Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana. The Secretary-in-Charge directed municipal officials to ensure—in line with the state government’s vision—that transparent and prompt relief reaches even the most marginalized and needy individuals in urban areas through these camps.
