Mobile Snatching Gang Busted

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur (South), Rajarshi Raj, stated that to prevent the continuous incidents of mobile snatching in Jaipur South district and to take effective action against the criminals, a special campaign was launched in Jaipur South district and all station house officers were instructed accordingly. For this purpose, under the direction of Lalit Kumar Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur South, a team was formed comprising the Station House Officer of Shivdaspura Police Station, Anil Jaimini, Police Inspector and Station House Officer of Sanganer Sadar Police Station, Motilal Sharma, Police Inspector, Station House Officer of Ashok Nagar Police Station, Vishambhar, Police Inspector in-charge of District Special Team Jaipur South, and Lokesh Kumar, Head Constable 634, Cyber Cell Jaipur (South). This team took action and conducted surveillance on such complaints.

Rajarshi Raj IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur South, stated that under the special campaign conducted at Shivdaspura Police Station from December 20, 2025 to December 22, 2025, in the action taken against mobile snatchers, cases were registered at Shivdaspura Police Station under Case No. 1003/2025 Section 304(2) IPC, Case No. 1011/2025 Section 304(2) IPC and Case No. 1013/2025 Section 304(2) IPC, and investigation was initiated. In this case, to search for the accused, a team was formed under the supervision of Lalit Kishore Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur South, and under the direction of Bhavani Singh RPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chaksu Circle, led by Surendra Kumar, Police Inspector and Station House Officer, Shivdaspura Police Station.

3. Mahesh Rengar alias Pintu, son of Atmaram, caste Rengar, age 23 years, resident of Regaron ka Mohalla, near Gangamata Temple, Tan village, Mehla Police Station, Mukampura, Jaipur (Rural) district
4. Uday Valmiki, son of Raju Harijan, caste Harijan, age 19 years, resident of Chitoda village, Renwal Manjhi Police Station, Jaipur Rural district, currently residing at House No. 04, Sector 29, Pratap Nagar Police Station, Jaipur East district
5. Suresh, son of Chhotu Lal Harijan, caste Harijan, age 19 years, resident of Jakolas, Batoda Barnala Police Station, Sawai Madhopur district, currently residing at Govindpura Kala Bad ki Phatak, Sanganer Sadar Police Station, Jaipur South district. They were detained and after investigation, arrested on December 20, 2025 and December 21, 2025, under Section 304 (2) of the Indian Penal Code in the above case. 34 mobile phones, 2 power bikes, and 7 motorcycles were recovered from the accused.

<span;><span;>* Major action by Police Station Ashok Nagar Jaipur (South). The notorious mobile snatching criminal Sohil Qureshi arrested. Seven snatched mobile phones and one stolen motorcycle recovered.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur (South) Rajarshi Raj, IPS, stated that on December 21, 2025, complainant Huma Sumaila filed a report at Ashoknagar Police Station, Jaipur, stating that on December 20, 2025, she was walking from her office, Cadence International, on Malviya Marg, Jaipur. At that time, a person on a motorcycle snatched her mobile phone on Malviya Marg and fled towards Malan Chowk. Based on this report, case number 354/2025 under Section 304(2) BNS was registered.
Taking this incident seriously, the Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur (South), under the direction of Lalit Kishore Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur (South), and under the close supervision of Balaram, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashoknagar Jaipur (South), formed a special police team led by Motilal Sharma, Police Inspector and Station House Officer, Ashoknagar Police Station, Jaipur (South), comprising Mahipal Head Constable 401, Laxman Ram Constable 3393, and Laxminarayan Constable 9026. The special police team, after examining footage from numerous CCTV cameras and conducting an intensive search, arrested the accused, Sohail Qureshi, son of Jamaluddin Qureshi, caste Qureshi Muslim, age 34 years, resident of 914, Lodho ki Gali, MD Road, Lal Kothi Police Station, Jaipur, currently residing at House No. 1628, Kamelo ki Gali, MD Road, Lal Kothi Police Station, Jaipur. Seven snatched mobile phones and one motorcycle were recovered from the accused, and further investigation is underway.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur (South) Rajarshi Raj IPS stated that on December 21, 2025, the complainant Dilkhush Bairwa son of Ramkanwar Bairwa, caste Bairwa, age 42 years, resident of village Mangrol, Police Station Baunli, District Sawai Madhopur, currently residing as a tenant at Plot No. 13, Riddhi Siddhi First, Chandlai Road, Vatika, Police Station Sanganer Sadar, District Jaipur South, appeared at the police station and filed a complaint stating that on September 17, 2025, at around 2 PM, he had come to the Novotel Hotel driving his auto-rickshaw. At that time, a boy came on a motorcycle and snatched his mobile phone and fled. The mobile phone was a Redmi make, with IMEI numbers 866807073975162 and 866807073975170, and contained a Vodafone SIM card. He searched extensively but could not find his mobile phone. He requested that an FIR be registered. Accordingly, case number 975/2025 under Section 304 (2) BNS was registered and investigation was started by ASI Premchand.
During the search, the accused Suresh Harijan son of Chhotulal Harijan, caste Harijan, age 22 years, resident of village Jakholas Kalan, Police Station Batoda, District Sawai Madhopur, currently residing as a tenant at Kishan Murli Garden’s house, opposite the crematorium, 50 Quarters, Govindpura Road, near Kala Bad Phatak, Police Station Sanganer Sadar, Jaipur South, was detained and interrogated. After investigation, the accused Suresh Harijan was arrested and the snatched mobile phone was recovered. Joint operation by DST and Mansarovar Police Station during a mobile snatching crackdown. Accused Indresh Sain alias Chintu arrested. 03 country-made pistols recovered from the accused. Rajrishi Raj, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Jaipur, stated that confidential information was received regarding criminal elements in Jaipur South district possessing illegal weapons to establish their dominance over the general public.
Under the direction of Lalit Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur South, and under the supervision of Aditya Kakade, IPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mansarovar, a team comprising the District Special Team, Jaipur South, the Cyber Cell Jaipur South, and Lakhan Singh Khatana, Police Inspector and Station House Officer, Mansarovar Police Station, Jaipur South, along with the police force of Mansarovar Police Station, Jaipur South, was formed to monitor such criminal elements.

On December 22, 2025, during patrolling and surveillance, the District Special Team received information regarding the supply of illegal weapons. Acting swiftly on the information, the District Special Team and the police force of Mansarovar Police Station, Jaipur South, apprehended the suspected accused, Indresh Sain alias Chintu, near New Atish Market, Mansarovar, Jaipur, and recovered 3 illegal country-made pistols. A case was registered against the accused Indresh Sain alias Chintu at Mansarovar Police Station, Jaipur South, under FIR No. 1021/2025, Section 3/25 of the Arms Act, and he was arrested. Further investigation is underway regarding the source and distribution of the illegal weapons recovered from the accused Indresh Sain alias Chintu.
