Two-Day Educational Conference Begins, Focusing on National Ideals, Indian Knowledge Traditions, and a Harmonious Society

Jaipur: A two-day district-level educational conference commenced on Friday at the Shaheed Lieutenant Abhay Pareek Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Gandhinagar, under the aegis of the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (Rajasthan – School Education), Jaipur-I. Discussions were held across various sessions on topics such as the education system, the social role of teachers, Indian knowledge traditions, and nation-building.
The event began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati. The district executive committee welcomed the guests by presenting them with traditional stoles (*dupattas*), coconuts (*shrifal*), and saplings to convey a message of environmental conservation.Prof. Geeta Bhatt, General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh and the keynote speaker at the inaugural session, spoke on Indian knowledge traditions. She emphasized the pivotal role teachers and educational organizations play in instilling national ideals in the future generation and realizing the vision of a developed India.The chief guest, Hemant Sethia—Joint Organizing Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Jaipur Province—highlighted the relevance of the teachings of Saint Ravidas in the context of his 650th birth anniversary celebrations. He stated that there should be no place for casteism, untouchability, or discrimination in modern society. Describing a harmonious society as the foundation of a developed India, he emphasized the active role teachers must play in eradicating social evils.The guest of honor, Devi Shankar Sharma (Chief Block Education Officer, Bassi), described a teacher’s conduct as a source of inspiration for students, stating that teachers should set an example through their behavior and work style. He also underscored the need to impart the values of Sanatan tradition and a sense of nationalism to students.
District President Keshav Raj Chauhan expressed gratitude to the guests and teachers in his presidential address. The proceedings were conducted by District Secretary Sunita Sharma.
*Fulfill Responsibilities by Regarding the School as a ‘Sacred Shrine’*
In the third session held after the lunch break, Harish Sharma, the State Training Cell In-charge, spoke at length on the topic ‘Our School—Our Sacred Shrine,’ focusing on the interrelationships between teachers, students, and society. District Organizing Secretary Ashok Kumar Sharma highlighted the utility of effective morning assemblies and the contemporary relevance of the Federation’s motto: ‘Education in the national interest, teachers in the interest of education, and society in the interest of teachers.’
During the open session held in the afternoon, teachers shared their views, expectations, and concerns regarding the education sector. The conference aimed to engage in collective deliberation on steering education in a positive direction, while connecting teachers to their social and national responsibilities alongside academic matters.Office-bearers from the state and divisional executive committees, along with activists and members from various cells, functional wings, districts, and all administrative blocks, attended the conference. Notable attendees included Shakuntala Maurya, Chandra Prakash Sharma, Kamlesh Chaudhary, Srinivas Sharma, Dheeraj Garg, Navita Kashiva, Jai Krishna Dadhich, Deepak Shukla, Giriraj Sain, Kamal Singh, Meghraj Sharma, Pramila Verma, Jugraj Singh, and Devendra Sharma.The district executive committee—comprising District President Keshav Raj Chauhan, District Secretary Sunita Sharma, District Vice-President Maya Gupta, and District Organizing Secretary Ashok Kumar Sharma—called upon teachers to participate in the conference and ensure its success.
