As per the instructions of Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Rajasthan Police is continuously taking effective action as part of a special campaign being run against illegal drug trafficking and organized crime in the state.  In a major operation, under Operation Trinetra, being conducted under the direction of Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Range, Gaurav Shrivastava, the Bhainsrodgarh police station in Chittorgarh district seized 324 kg 420 grams of illegal poppy husk, 1 kg 920 grams of illegal opium, 8 live 12-bore cartridges, 4 live pistol cartridges, and 8 different number plates from a suspicious Scorpio. Police seized the Scorpio along with the drugs, cartridges, and number plates.

District Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh stated that under Operation Trinetra, a special police team was formed under the leadership of Bhainsrodgarh Station Officer, Shri Kamalchand Meena, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police, Rawatbhata, Gopal Singh Kanawat, RPS, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rawatbhata, Shankar Lal Meena.

According to the incident, the police team was conducting a blockade at a culvert ahead of Shripura.  Meanwhile, a suspicious Scorpio was signaled to stop. Seeing the police, the driver turned the Scorpio back toward Dhangdamou and sped away. The police team gave chase and informed the Dhangdamou outpost.

Upon receiving the information, the police team from the Dhangdamou outpost proceeded from Dhangdamou in a government Bolero vehicle toward Shripura. When the driver attempted to stop the suspicious Scorpio, the driver rammed the government Bolero, causing both vehicles to crash. The Scorpio driver and his companion then took advantage of the darkness and fled into the forest.

The police team searched the suspicious Scorpio and found 324 kg 420 grams of illegal poppy husk and 1 kg 920 grams of illegal opium. Additionally, they recovered eight live 12-bore cartridges, four live pistol cartridges, and eight different license plates.

Police seized illegal drugs, cartridges, and license plates, and also seized the Scorpio. A case has been registered at Bhainsrodgarh police station under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, Arms Act, and PDPP Act, and further investigation is underway. Police are working to identify and locate the absconding accused and are also investigating the network involved in the smuggling of the recovered drugs.
