Voter literacy programs held at Kishan Lal Joshi Government Senior Secondary School, Deeg and Government Senior Secondary School, Dudawal; call for 100% participation in empowering democracy

Deeg. In view of the upcoming Municipal Corporation General Elections 2026, a voter awareness campaign is being conducted across the district. In this regard, voter awareness programs were organized on Sunday at Government Higher Secondary School, Dudawal, Brijnagar, and Kishan Lal Joshi Government Higher Secondary School, Deeg. During the campaign, students, teachers, and staff were encouraged to vote freely, fairly, fearlessly, and ethically and administered a collective voter’s pledge.
Addressing the participants, speakers emphasized that the foundation of a strong and vibrant democracy rests on the active participation of every vigilant and aware voter. They emphasized that voting is not only a constitutional right but also the ultimate duty of every citizen towards nation-building. The students and teachers collectively took an oath that they will exercise their voting rights 100% in the upcoming elections without any fear, bias, caste, religion or inducement.
Along with this, the students were called upon to motivate every eligible voter of their home, locality and village, especially the elderly, women and young voters, to reach the polling booth on the polling day and vote fearlessly. On this occasion, Kishan Lal Joshi, Vice Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Deeg, Nihal Singh, Lecturer Birbal Singh along with teachers, staff and students of both the schools were present.
