Jaipur. Bharatiya Janata Party State President and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore, sharply criticizing the opposition’s continued disruptions in Parliament, said that Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi maintain a distance from Question Hour, meaningful discussions on bills, and positive issues of public interest. Rahul Gandhi, who remains indifferent to his responsibilities within the House, goes outside and engages in politics of inciting people and spoiling the national atmosphere.
Rathore said that the Modi government at the center has secured the future of millions of youth by enacting strict laws against paper leaks, while Rahul Gandhi is merely pursuing political gains in the name of students. He said that it is not befitting the constitutional dignity of the Leader of the Opposition to stand in a protest where anti-social elements are active, anti-India slogans are raised, and inappropriate language is used. As the Leader of the Opposition, more responsible conduct is expected from him.
Madan Rathore said that if Rahul Gandhi is truly a well-wisher of the youth, he should also address the paper leak cases that have been continuously reported during the Congress-ruled governments in Jharkhand and Karnataka, and the future of the students there. Remaining silent on the injustices occurring in Congress-ruled states and politicizing only selective issues reflects his dual mentality.
Madan Rathore supported the Delimitation Bill, stating that ensuring equal representation in accordance with the population is essential in a democracy, and efforts are being made to build a broad consensus on this issue. He said that by implementing the Women’s Reservation Act, the BJP has taken a historic step towards women’s empowerment. The BJP always practices politics of national interest, good governance, and public welfare, whereas the Congress party’s history has been associated only with confusion, opposition, and social division.
