Udaipur। Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state government has formulated a roadmap for Rajasthan’s development, under which significant work has been accomplished in sectors such as water, electricity, industry, employment, and roads. Work on the Ramjal Setu Link Project is proceeding rapidly; this will ensure an adequate water supply for the general public, farmers, and industries. Meanwhile, the Yamuna Water Agreement for the Shekhawati region was made possible through the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Similarly, the pace of work on the Dewas Project, serving Udaipur and its surrounding areas, is being accelerated.
The Chief Minister was addressing a ceremony on Sunday at the Udaipur Municipal Corporation auditorium, marking the inauguration and foundation-laying of 457 development projects worth ₹421 crore. He mentioned that MoUs worth ₹2.24 lakh crore have been signed with public sector undertakings to make the state self-reliant in the power sector. By 2027, farmers across all districts of the state will receive electricity during the day; currently, daytime power supply is already being provided in 26 districts. Additionally, new Grid Sub-Stations (GSS) of varying capacities are being established. At the same time, through the PM-KUSUM scheme, farmers are transforming from mere food providers (*Annadata*) into energy providers (*Urjadata*).
He noted that the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ was organized to boost industry and investment. Out of the MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore signed during the summit, MoUs worth approximately ₹9 lakh crore have already materialized on the ground. The Chief Minister stated that, in fulfillment of the promise to provide 4 lakh government jobs to the youth, appointments have already been made for more than 1.78 lakh posts. Recruitment processes for over 132,000 posts are currently underway. Meanwhile, preparations are being made to recruit for more than 70,000 additional posts. So far, the way has been paved for recruitment to a total of 380,000 posts. He stated that all recruitment examinations in the state have been conducted with transparency. Additionally, 450,000 employment opportunities have been created for the youth in the private sector.
The Chief Minister said that Udaipur is a city of lakes. It is also a land of power and devotion. Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Chittorgarh are tourism-rich districts. The state government is working to develop these areas. He stated that 21 major projects worth over 47 crore rupees have been dedicated to the people of Udaipur district. These include a modern cath lab at the RNT Medical College at a cost of 7 crore rupees, a 75-bed rehabilitation home for the elderly in Udaipur city at a cost of 2.75 crore rupees, the Government Girls College building in Phalasian at a cost of over 4 crore rupees, the Government Savitribai Phule Scheduled Caste Girls Hostel in Kanod at a cost of 2.8 crore rupees, the construction of an RCC drain in Savina at a cost of over 2.31 crore rupees, and a Primary Health Center in Darauli, Vallabhnagar, at a cost of approximately 1.5 crore rupees. He said that the road construction for the new bus stand in Titardi at a cost of over ₹1 crore, Block Public Health Unit buildings in Bhuwana, Vallabhnagar, and Mavli at a cost of ₹2.31 crore, a lacrosse playground in Maharana Pratap Khelgaon at a cost of approximately ₹1.5 crore, an open parking lot in Bohra Ganesh Ji Aiyad, and the Amarkh Ji Mahadev Temple Road were also inaugurated.The Chief Minister said that the foundation stone for 436 projects worth over ₹373 crore has been laid for the infrastructure and development of Udaipur. This includes the Mother and Child Wing at Maharana Bhupal Hospital at a cost of ₹121 crore, a modern sewerage system in the Bhuwana area at a cost of over ₹75 crore, the construction of the District Hospital Bhindar building at a cost of approximately ₹51 crore, and the foundation stone for the Community Health Center building in Fatehnagar at a cost of ₹5.75 crore.
He said that the foundation stone has been laid for the Government Tribal Boys Ashram Hostel building in Gogunda at a cost of Rs. 4.5 crore, 12 residential buildings for officers in Police Line Udaipur at a cost of Rs. 4.5 crore, Government Tribal Boys Ashram Hostel in Dhimdi area of Jhadol at a cost of Rs. 3.8 crore, service road in Sukher at a cost of about Rs. 3.67 crore, submersible culvert on the Banas river on Paaner and Kelthara road of Gogunda at a cost of more than Rs. 6 crore. The Chief Minister said that the foundation stone has been laid for the construction of Tribal Girls Ashram Hostel in Khelgaon Udaipur and Boys Ashram Hostel in Dabok at a cost of Rs. 5.5 crore, construction of submersible culvert on the Banas river in Bomarchha of Gogunda at a cost of Rs. 2.70 crore, construction of Atal Pragati Path at a cost of Rs. 2 crore each in Kheroda, Jhadol and Sayra. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for various projects related to the development of sheds, domes, and solar baths in various schools in the district, as well as for electricity, water, roads, education, medical care, irrigation, urban and tourism facilities.
He stated that the state government has developed 49,197 kilometers of road network at a cost of ₹34,128 crore. Work is progressing rapidly on nine Greenfield Expressways totaling 2,750 kilometers in the state. 18,067 kilometers of new roads have been constructed, and 1,758 villages have been connected with asphalt roads for the first time. He added that approximately 10,000 kilometers of missing link roads have been constructed in rural areas. 3,286 kilometers of roads have been developed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The Chief Minister stated that our double-engine government is taking strong decisions for the welfare of people associated with agriculture, cooperatives, and the dairy sector. A roadmap for the development of villages and urban wards is being developed through the Chief Minister’s Developed Village-Urban Ward Campaign. To promote agricultural products, we are encouraging the establishment of processing units. This will provide employment to local youth. He said that the milk collection capacity of Saras Dairy is also being increased. New members have been added to PACS in villages to promote prosperity through cooperation. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, schemes are being implemented to empower the poor, youth, women, and farmers.
Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharari said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is working to bring the last person into the mainstream. Rapid work on the ground is leading to development in every village.Revenue Minister Hemant Meena said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, development work is underway in Rajasthan. Through various water projects, adequate water is being ensured for drinking water and irrigation purposes.
