Rajasthan CAMPA meeting held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary

A meeting of the Steering Committee of the Rajasthan Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (Rajasthan CAMPA) was held on Monday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed proper documentation of Rajasthan CAMPA’s work, incorporation of technological innovations in the implementation of work, and periodic field visits.

The Chief Secretary directed effective monitoring of CAMPA’s work and the preparation of success stories for notable projects. The meeting also saw the release of CAMPA’s Annual Report 2024-25, which detailed the major projects and achievements undertaken under CAMPA in the state.
The meeting approved the proposed annual action plan of Rajasthan CAMPA for the financial year 2026-27, with a total outlay of Rs. 232.18 crore.

It is noteworthy that the objective of CAMPA is to undertake work related to compensatory afforestation on non-forest land and degraded forest land, and development of infrastructure for field staff to strengthen the conservation, protection, and management of forests, wildlife, and natural resources.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Forest and Environment Department Anand Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department Shreya Guha, Additional Chief Secretary, TAD Kunjilal Meena, Secretary to the Government and Commissioner, Science and Technology Department Shri V. Sarwan Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Chief of Forest Force) P.K. Upadhyay, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Development) Ms. Shikha Mehra, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden K.C. Arun Prasad, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Nodal Officer (Forest Conservation Act) Mrs. T.J. Kavitha, representatives of the regional office of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and senior officers of the departments of Finance, Planning, Science and Technology, Revenue, Tribal Area Development etc. were present.
