Issued instructions for rural infrastructure, health services, and encroachment clearance

To accelerate infrastructure development in the rural areas of Deeg district and provide direct benefits of good governance to the general public, District Collector Utsav Kaushal held a Gram Panchayat-level public hearing in Songaon village under the Panchayat Samiti Deeg on Thursday. A large number of villagers enthusiastically participated in the public hearing and presented various complaints related to local development, health facilities, and the protection of public properties. The District Collector listened to the complaints patiently and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned departmental officials to take positive and prompt action in accordance with public aspirations.
In the public hearing of village Songaon, mainly the demands for strengthening of rural infrastructure and medical facilities emerged. The villagers presented complaints for construction of a community building for public use, Anganwadi centre for children and a new building of sub-health centre for primary medical care. Along with this, a serious demand for setting up a fully equipped community health centre in the nearby village Barawali was also placed before the administration, on which the District Collector directed the Medical and Health Department to prepare and send the necessary proposal.
Highlighting the development of rural infrastructure, the District Collector directed the concerned departments to expedite the proposals for construction of drains, construction of a concrete road from Sarai Road to Shyoravali and construction of a canal for irrigation facilities for a permanent solution to the problem of waterlogging in the village. Apart from this, orders were given to complete the construction of the road leading to the cremation ground and its boundary wall on priority basis. Regarding the poor condition of the roads and encroachment, the District Collector directed the officials of the Revenue and Police Department to get the public roads repaired immediately and provide relief to the general public by adopting a zero tolerance policy against encroachers by making the roads encroachment free.
