Jaipur। Former BJP state president and State Finance Commission chairman Arun Chaturvedi has raised serious questions about the conduct, character, and face of Congress leaders. He said that Congress leaders have a “lie and run” attitude. The recent events in the Rajasthan Assembly have proven this once again. He said that fearing the exposure of their own faces, Congress murdered democracy, lied, created a ruckus, and wasted the House’s time while misusing the funds of 8 crore people of the state. Furthermore, Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Julie once again appeared to be caught in a conspiracy within his own party. Govind Singh Dotasara and other Congress leaders created a ruckus in the House and attempted to prevent Julie from speaking, reflecting the internal strife within the Congress.
Former BJP state president Arun Chaturvedi stated that the Congress party’s performance in the Assembly was contrary to democratic norms. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma presented the government’s two-year report card in the House and challenged it for a comparative debate. However, the Congress party, lacking an answer, created a ruckus and disrupted the proceedings. He explained that the document presented by the Chief Minister, “Government @ 2 Years of Progress and Excellence 2024–25–26,” was presented to all members at the Business Advisory Committee meeting on February 16th. This document was made available to all MLAs from February 16th to February 21st. Despite this, the Congress party did not raise any objections. When the discussion on this issue began on February 21st, the Congress party created a ruckus and disrupted the House proceedings. Chaturvedi stated that this incident clearly demonstrates that the Congress party’s conduct is contrary to democratic values and that it is attempting to avoid a debate on facts.
Former BJP state president Arun Chaturvedi stated that the BJP has fulfilled or is in progress on approximately 285 of the 392 promises in its Sankalp Patra 2023, or about 73 percent. Similarly, approximately 66 percent of the BJP government’s budget announcements have been completed or are in process. He stated that the BJP government made 2,719 budget announcements in two years, of which approvals have been issued for 90 percent and 80 percent have been completed. In contrast, the previous Congress government made 4,148 announcements in five years, of which 2,208 (about 53 percent) remained unfulfilled. He said that former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made 1426 announcements in his last year 2023-24, out of which no action was taken on 1142 (about 80 percent). BJP State Vice President Nahar Singh Jodha, State General Secretary Bhupendra Saini, Mithilesh Gautam and BJP office in-charge Mukesh Pareekh were present during the press conference.
