A meeting of district and block level officers was held on Tuesday at the IT center in the Collectorate auditorium, chaired by District Collector Champalal Jingar, via video conference. The progress of the camps held in the first phase of the Gram Utthan (Village Upliftment) camps was reviewed in the meeting. The District Collector instructed the nodal officers of the camps to increase progress in various activities and to update the daily progress reports on the portal in a timely manner.
In the meeting, regarding the updating of the voter list in the district, the District Election Officer informed the officers about the process of adding, removing, and modifying names in the voter list. The District Election Officer stated that in view of the preparations for the 2026 Panchayat elections, the District Election Department is rapidly carrying out the work of updating the voter list. He informed that the draft voter list, based on the voter list of January 1, 2025, was published on January 29, 2026. Voters whose names are not in this list and who have completed 18 years of age by January 1, 2026, can apply to have their names added. In addition, voters whose names are on the list but are now absent, transferred, or deceased, or their family members, can apply to have their names removed. Applications can be submitted online or offline. During this time, he said that all officers should listen to the problems of the voters in their respective areas and ensure that their names are included in the voter list in a timely manner so that they can participate in the democratic process.
Collector Jingar informed that the procurement of crops at MSP rates started on November 24, 2025, and 70% of the work has been completed so far. He instructed the concerned officers to work diligently to complete the remaining work smoothly. During this time, he reviewed the distribution process under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) at fair price shops, taking information from the officials of the Food and Supplies Department regarding NFSA applications.
