A review meeting was held at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Rural Development Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena. The meeting reviewed the progress of major central and state-level schemes in the state. The Rural Development Minister said that the benefits of departmental schemes should be delivered to maximum number of people in a timely manner. The state government is always working diligently for rural development.Dr. Kirodi Lal said that departmental officials should ensure self-reliance, employment generation, and expansion of basic amenities in rural areas through the schemes of the Rural Development Department. He stated that significant progress has been made in empowering women economically through self-employment under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana. 1.595 million Lakhpati Didis have been created in the state, and 1.990 million potential Lakhpati Didis have received initial training.Kirodi Lal Meena also stated that encouraging progress has been made in strengthening self-help groups and distributing loans under the Rajivika Yojana. The Special Area Development Scheme and the Magra Regional Development Scheme are expanding road, water conservation, education, and health facilities, proving to be milestones in connecting backward areas with the mainstream. Rural employment demands under the MNREGA are being addressed promptly. Under the PM Awas Yojana, construction of sturdy houses is progressing rapidly, as per the targeted number, enabling rural families to benefit from a permanent home.The Rural Development Minister directed officials to expedite work and ensure transparency, and to set ambitious targets for the upcoming financial year.The meeting featured in-depth discussions on the achievements of VB Ram, Rajivika, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Lakhpati Didi Yojana, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, Biofuel Authority Yojana, Special Area Development Schemes, and Magra Regional Development Scheme.Dr. Kirori Lal stated that the department is innovating by establishing Rajivika kiosks in Smriti Van with the support of the Forest Department. Group products worth ₹1.37 crore were sold at the Diwali Sumangal Mela 2025. Group products worth ₹8.55 crore were sold at the National Raj Sakhi Mela 2025.Under the Rajasthan Mahila Nidhi, loans worth ₹770.49 crore have been disbursed to 160.176 members of 49,448 self-help groups. Under the Chief Minister Lakhpati Didi Loan Scheme, a loan of Rs 270 crore has been given to 3 lakh Lakhpati Didis and 1 lakh Didis at an interest rate of 1.5 percent to promote entrepreneurs.This meeting reflects the state government’s commitment towards rural development, which will accelerate the realization of the resolve of ‘Developed Rajasthan’.Additional Chief Secretary Shreya Guha, Project Director Rajivika Neha Giri, Commissioner MNREGA Pushpa Satyani, Additional Commissioner Jugal Kishore Meena and officials of the Rural Development Department were present in the meeting.
